I have purchased 6 pairs of Brooks Addiction Walkers size 8 in the past and loved them. I purchased this new model and found the size 8 was too short. I returned it and ordered size 8.5. It was too short as well exactly like the 8. I returned that as well. I was truly disapointed in the product.

I do not like wearing these shoes ! Would not purchase Brooks Addiction walkers again - very restrictive and uncomfortable.

Attempted to order Brooks Addiction, though I got what I was looking for. Turns out there is a Addiction14 and an Addiction WLK. Ordered the wrong style. No Addiction 14 available. Does not fit at all the same. Returned and said "will provide a full refund." Hope that is the case. Timing of order was good

I thought these would be more cushioned than they were. They are a very good strong sneaker but my heels just need more cushion. you must decide for your self.

This is a high quality, excellent shoe, but the description of it is not accurate. It was supposed to be "shark/alloy/oyster" and I felt sure this would be a gray color, usable with a variety of different colored outfits. Not so. The shoe is "mauve" -- a distinct pink-lavender-grey that would look terrible with most of the clothes I wear. Sadly, the shoe is going back to Zappos. I'll order another Brooks shoe and hope for a more accurate and usable color.

Too short in the toe would have to order a half size up. Liked the color.

I’ve had multiple foot and ankle surgeries and have worn Brooks shoes for the past 15 years. My right foot is size 6.5 B and my left foot is size 6 nearly B. I wear my shoes with Thorlo padded socks, custom full orthotics, and ideally a foam insole so I need to size up. In 2013 I bought the original Addiction Walker size 7D, in black leather. Because of the pandemic I decided to shop online. I ordered several different sizes and styles of Brooks shoes (Ghost 13 and Addiction 14) in addition to the Addiction Walker 2 in both the leather and suede uppers. As other reviewers noted, the Addiction Walker 2 fits smaller and narrower than the original. Also, the shoe laces on the new version are not long enough to thread through all the holes, which I need for stability. (Yes, I can buy longer laces but it’s frustrating when I’m spending $130+ for a pair of shoes with laces that are too short!) Plus I noticed a few differences between the leather and suede Addiction Walker 2 versions. The leather upper was stiff and uncomfortable, while the suede upper felt softer, narrower, and not as deep as the leather upper. I was also concerned about how the suede would wear (is it really suede or a suede fabric?) and how it could be cleaned. I clean my original Addiction Walker with mild soap and water on a cloth. From my perspective the changes to the Addiction Walker 2 are not improvements. I believe that this is a perfect example for the old saying: “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”! But I really needed new shoes, so I selected the white leather in 7.5 D which fortunately was back in stock. In the future I might order the “suede” upper shoes, knowing they likely won’t wear as well as the leather. I agree that people need to size up at least a half a size and they may also want to consider a wider width when ordering.

This shoe runs small.

Bought these sneakers for a vacation where I had to do a lot of walking. My feet were killing me after a few hours. I had to go to a running store to buy insoles to help. If you tend to have trouble with your heels don’t buy these!

Fit and size were okay. The deal breaker for me was that they were just so orthopedic looking. Not cute in any way. Comfortable, but not-cute can be uncomfortable. Returned.

I am unsure how to answer your questions. It is my feet that are off not the shoe. I have hammer toes and my left heel is very narrow. I have been going back and forth with my old shoes part of the day and newer ones a few hours. Unfortunately the ww is not good and I and I have to tie and tighten them every hour or less. Great for my toes but not for feeling I may fall because the shoe is loose.

Shoe was too “stiff”, and heavy. Need something lighter.

This shoe was extremely heavy. Not able to do a lot of walking with such weight. Attractive looking but could not keep.
