Although I can no longer run, I do walk outside every day unless the weather is contrary. These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever had. I dont even have to wear my orthotics with these. That is how supportive they are! I expect to order another pair soon! Thanks, Brooks!

These run very short, so order up a 1/2 or whole size. The wide seems to be truly a wide, so that is fine. They have good support around the heel and ankle.

I usually buy the v-strap leather Addiction walker, but these shoes are really great. My only request is once you made Addiction walker in the color of taupe or very light beige tan. Its regretfully that you stopped making this color because was a great favorite especially since that color blended in with any of our clothes attire

I really like these shoes but I do think there should be more padding in the heel area. While walking I stepped on a huge rock & bruised my heel I think if there were more padding in the heel this would help to alleviate this.

I have arthritis in my feet and this shoe along with the arch support insert my podiatrist recommended has completely stopped the pain in my feet. Im ordering another pair just to have backup. Thank you so much

I really like the leather Addictions walkers, but I tried the suede ones because they look more stylish (for a walking shoe). However within a few months my bunion broke through the suede and I have an ugly hole in the shoe. I will still keep buying the Addiction Walker, but will go back to leather. Is there any chance the suede has been improved? (I was past the 90 day warranty).

For some background info, I'm a woman in my late twenties living with adult idiopathic scoliosis. Last fall I began having a problem with pain starting in my lower back and radiating down my right leg. It was so bad, I was finding it difficult to work and I feared that this was a new permanent health issue that would prevent me from ever walking without pain again. My physical therapist suggested that I upgrade to some shoes with better support for my spine, so I ditched my beloved Converse for the Brooks Addiction Walker size 11. To my surprise and relief, the leg and lower back pain gradually faded away over the next two months of wearing these shoes, and has very rarely reared its ugly head again since then. I love these shoes as they provide support all day while I'm at work, and I even bought a second pair of them as indoor-only shoes to be worn around my apartment. I only wish the grips were slightly better in the super-slippery NYC subway system.

My normal size is 8.5 W (39 regular in Birkenstock). That size was too small, but the 9.0 wide fits well and feels good. Nice to have Addiction Walkers not quite as ugly as the ones I used to have to wear. This pair is still new to me, so I can't speak to durability. They do not repel water at all, so imperfect for walking in damp grass. But, so far, so good.

I ordered this sneaker in 11 D. Had to return them my big toe was hitting the very tip of the shoe and my toe was sore. The toe box was wide enough. Normally, I wear an 11 B. I had a medium weight sock on. I will order these again in 11.5 D when I'm back in town.

Very comfortable. Not as stylish as a running shoe, but I like the stability of this because it is a walking shoe. I am happy with the quality of this product.

I'm giving it a higher score than I would like, mostly because they fit and don't hurt my feet. Addiction is not my first choice. Ariel is, or I should say, was. I started wearing Ariel maybe 15 years ago. Over time, the design was changed until they became unwearable. It seems that you are now doing the same thing with Addiction -- making them unwearable. I'm guessing you are trying to make them more secure on the foot -- which kills my neuroma. Before I switched to Addiction, I retrieved my broken down Ariels and padded them with extra pads and gel pads. Can't you just come up with new colors and stop redesigning them? The worst thing you did was sew up the tongue -- I cut them to be able to walk without pain. I'm very close to returning to the original running shop and trying on other brands. And, that's painful, too, since they are out of my way. I'm mostly wearing a 3-year old version -- before you changed the heal padding and made them stiffer. If you have any 15 year old Ariels lying in storage in a 7-1/2 Wide, I'd be interested. Thanks

Great shoe with great support. Really like it and bought more than one pair. Only negative is that the shoe is a bit hot. Please make the same shoe with a cooler fabric upper.

These shoes looked rally well made and comfortable but the size was way smaller than my other Brooks shoes. I wear a 9.5 and this was supposed to be the same but thy were way too tight so I returned them.

The shoe's design is tighter than I am accustomed to with Brooks. I had to order a size up from my usual Brooks size of 9.5. Also, the shoe is very heavy for a walking shoe. FYI - I am a walker, not a runner!

I’ve always worn 7.5 M in Brooks Addiction. This time it was too small. Returning for an 8.

I thought these would fit the same as the leather versions I own but the toe box was narrow and it kicked up bunion pain. I wore outside thinking they would be same so now have to sell on Ebay. Please keep offering wide boxy toe box shoes.

Very well made, but order a full size up. I went with a running shoe instead for more toe length and flexibility. I like that the suede is synthetic because I am vegan. Brooks is an excellent brand. These shoes do look kind of like shoes for seniors. There is something medical looking about them, at least the grey pair I tried.

Beautiful shoe that would be 5 stars if the toe box were not so narrow. I have never worn wide shoes, but this medium-fit shoe squeezed my foot and caused such discomfort on the upper part of my foot. I didnt need them immediately, waiting several months to wear them, so missed the 90-day return window or these absolutely would have gone back. Due to the expense, I tried to wear them, tying them as loosely as possible, but they still caused too much pain. I am going to try these in wide, perhaps unwisely, and hope for better results.

This shoe is awesome. The fit is perfect and my foot feels secure and does not slip around since there is ample cushioning in the top and sides of the shoe. The laces stay tied for as long as I wear them. The bottom of my foot is pain free as I walk as there is a cushioned support under every part of my foot. My foot feels protected. I broke the bone in the top of my foot about 30 years ago and have developed arthritis and a painful bump at the point of the break. In these shoes, because the tongue is nicely padded, I feel no pain or irritation even after walking all day. Id like to have another pair, thats how great these shoes feel on my feet all the time..walking, running errands, jogging, climbing stairs, sitting relaxing!

Great shoe!! I do not understand the reason Brooks does not offer more color and design options for this shoe. Many other customers have also made this request. Thus is my 3rd request and I've been waiting for over FOUR years.
