When I first got them I thought they were quite narrower than my Ghost 12 at the toe box, but after using them a few times, they feel great! Great traction on sand, pine needles (we have a LOT of pine trees!) and softer ground. My feet have stayed dry and comfy whether running or walking my trails. I'm new to trail running and have discovered I need higher socks for these as they kick up a lot of dirt (but that's my learning curve nothing against the shoe!). Overall I would recommend.

I took these on the muddy spring trails by my house for a little 5K and they held up great in mud and water! These are my first pair of Brooks and i'm not disappointed in the least. I love these shoes so much i will be buying another pair for rainy road running days : )

I bought these to use as hiking shoes since I love Brooks for running and my regular hiking boots were aggravating my plantar fasciitis. I figured I needed more cushion like my road runners had but also the grip, stability, and waterproofing found in hiking shoes. I?ve gone on several moderate hikes with them (~5 mi) and ran in them, and so far they've met my expectations fully. I?m very pleased with these shoes.

I needed a pair of waterproof trail/hiking shoes and was delighted to find them in Brooks, the shoes I regularly wear for my long, daily walks. As with my other Brooks, I buy a full size up; meaning, where I regularly wear a 7.5 in Asics, I buy an 8.5 in Brooks. These shoes are a little stiff, due to the goretex, but fit comfortably with my inserted orthotics and are very light weight. They're also pretty cute, so I'm a happy girl.

Love them! I had them less than a month and the mesh ripped! They were super accommodating and mailed me a new pair said unfortunately i was experiencing some early wear and tear!!! Brooks customer service is hands down the best!

I love the Brooks brand! I have worn the Glycerin style but needed some waterproof shoes for a trip I’m planning to take. The waterproof Cascadia style fits well and looks great! I will say that in the Brooks brand I wear a half size larger than I normally do, but the fit between styles is consistent.

First of all, I am not a runner. I needed a shoe that would provide support for my feet and knees... I also need traction in all types of conditions and this shoe is perfect. It is light but sturdy and my feet stay dry.

I needed a running shoe in which I could both walk and run when it's wet outside, especially in a field I often use. I am picky about fit because I use orthotics and I am older. I am happy with the Cascadia. It is exactly what I need. In some puddles, a little dampness seeps inside, but on the whole I am pleased.

I am a recreational hiker. It is great to have a waterproof shoe for the trails. Comfortable running shoe with deep tread... perfect for the general day on the trail when you don't need the extra ankle support of a hiking boot.

Fits well. I typically wear a 9 in running shoes and the 9 in this shoe fit great - length, width, toe-box, all great. Has served me well in the rain already, no leaks. A little stiff out of the box but broke in quickly and still never saw a blister. I love the blue sole and wish companies would make more regular running shoes look like this vice a white sole.

These are the best trail shoes! These have gone from the AT here in PA to hiking in Maroon Bells Colorado and the red dirt of Moab Utah! Durable, grippy and feels like total comfort! . Now not only are my running shoes only Brooks but now my hikers are too!

Love these!! So much! Great for everyday wear, very supportive and comfortable. Although, I actually got a custom made arch support to help with more support for these, from runner world I believe.. other than that, defiantly planning on ordering more in the future!

I really like this shoe for the "SUV stability" given that I tend to lean out when I walk. Very very helpful with that. The extra padding on the sole is also very supportive. My only recommendation is that if you have a problem with heel pad syndrome, the inner cushion is a bit too hard and doesn't help with that pain. So, I did put extra cushion in for my heels. Overall, a very good quality shoe and very supportive.

relatively new shoe still...so far so good.
What I like: thick sole, decent traction. far more comfortable than previous hiking shoe. decent toe box space. So far it has fared pretty well on muddy, wet terrain -- better than I thought when I saw so much mesh/mesh top shoe. I have not fully stepped into puddles/streams yet.
what to improve: I would like more stability and structure throughout/less mesh. more ankle support and better arch support!

Sizes run about .5 size larger... I based my order on an old pair of Brooks Grit I have. Toe box is definitely ample; however, will need to reassess once I exchange for smaller size. Construction of the shoe is impressive. Soles have very good impact absorption. Will use for distance trail walking/hiking.

Bought this shoe to replace a worn-out pair of Cascadias from about 4 years ago. Those shoes hiked all over Europe, golfed, trail walk and run, truly incredible and comfortable. The new ones seem wider to me, but I need to put in my Dr. Scholls athletic insoles and see how they fit. They seem a bit clunkier, with more material - in other words, the foot just seems bigger, as if to accommodate fatter feet. I want them to work, because waterproof shoes are hard to find, so I will really try to figure them out. Failing that, I will try New Balance.
