Quite happy with these boots for the most part. Great support, pretty light, handle water well and the grip is amazing. I also do a ton of bushwhacking and the hold up well. My only complaint are the laces. After about 10 months, the laces have been falling apart and are broken in multiple spots.

Solid boots, made really well and feel like they will hold up to tough trails. However, they do fit really narrow and at least 1/2 size too small, so size up accordingly.

I bought those on November 2023 and they are really good boots for hiking. My only issue though it's that the lace's outer layer broke somehow and Arc'teryx won't send me a replacement. They should have replacement laces to buy even. They are good quality and I don't think I can find a substitute.

I've got about 7 months of wearing these boots 5 days a week for work, and they're a pretty good boot overall. Lightweight, relatively water resistant, nice tread. My biggest issue is that they size a bit big, and that the laces are a bit cheap and untie with not much walking.

Have hiked 27 miles in these now and they are holding up well. A little snug around the ankle area but hoping more break in will help.

I bought this boot as a replacement to my previous pair, primarily as the boots for my feet perfectly and have no break in time for me. Unfortunately the previous pair were still in great shape except for a number of the grommets pulling out under minimal force. Just completed a 4 day hike with the new pair and it hasn't happened yet so I'm hopefull this is a design flaw in older models that has now been fixed. Gromets asside the boot is well built with durable fabric, solid tread for wet rock and mud. The Goretex membrane kept my feet dry in both heavy downpours and low river crossings. My confidence in the water resistance ended up causing me to trust it too much and end up knee deep in mud which looked much shallower.

As a hiking guide I've tried a few different hikers and these are by far my favourite. They are a perfect fit for my foot shape and are comfortable on long day hikes and multi-day trips. They stay nice and dry on the inside the majority of times and are a joy to slip on the mornings. I wear them daily for 6 months of the year doing 10-30km/day on them. I did wear through a pair after 2 seasons but ordered another and they have been just as comfortable as the first pair. They are a bit more stiff and great on rocky terrain and provide excellent grip but also just as good through softer grounds too. I would recommend trying them on if you get the chance before buying to ensure they fit your foot well, but if they do then go for it!

Bought the TR GTX boots to pinch hit for my all leather boots that need a re-sole. I really like a lot of aspects of these boots that fit perfectly and are true to size for example: 1. Lightweight. 2. Forward design. Good lacing system, cool combo of materials and excellent sole. The tongue is its only flaw which needs the same amount of refinement that the rest of the boot has. 3. Over all durability and solid construction that we expect from ARC'TERYX. I put 20 miles of pack-less day hikes and some trail running on these before I laced up for a 4.5 day 55 mile with a low 30# pack. In the space between 7,000' and 11,600' every type of trail was under foot... at times I wished I was wearing my leather boots which always provide stability, but where these boots really shined was on off-trail talus and granite boulder accents and descents. I would give these 5 stars if it were not for at about halfway thru day 2.5 my feet were killing me (I've got a couple black toenails now that I could feel brewing with every step). Because these didn't seem to need a break in period and I wasn't wearing them fresh out of the box this was an unexpected turn in comfort. I am a runner and just ran a marathon in April of 2022 my feet are in good shape. What I think may be the case is I wasn't wearing the right boot for the trip... halfway thru day 3.5 I had to stow them under my pack lid and wear my hiking sandals which took me the 20 miles to the finish line down 2 major sections of switch backs and water crossings on part of the JMT. Overall I'd suggest trying a longer weighted break in period or a shorter trip that doesn't require a pack over 30#... or both. For now these will be relegated to long day hikes when boots are needed. Pic with gaiters... I don't think there is a ankle boot out there that can keep debris out.

I purchased two pairs of these one pair was replaced after a year as they split and hence have owned three pairs. They have each lasted around 2/3 years. Both split on the outside edge at the widest point of my feet. But to note I have wide feet and exceptionally high bridges. So my problem with all shoes is comfort being able to lace them tightly to remain waterproof and not too tight that the cut my circulation off. So I tended to wear them with the laces loosened enough to maintain blood flow. In terms of wear and tear fantastic and waterproof was excellent unit after two years when they started to split this was caused mainly by wear and if one doesn't clean the boots enough as the fabric starts to harden and that's when they split. I have learnt to re-proof them using Nikwax spray on and cleaning them after every walk just enough to remove the mud and debris this prolongs the gortex fabric. The soles split after three years on one boot so for me that's after around 2000-2500 miles of dog walking in woods tracks and mud.

I've always thought Arc shoes were narrow based on 3rd party reviews. My shoe width can vary between US standard and wide and typically 42.5 EU (42 2/3) - I find euro sizing more helpful than US sizing. This boot fits snugly around heel and mid foot and provides sufficient stretch for my toe box area. When properly laced around my foot and ankle, it is snug all around but not tight. It is light and steps allow a very "precise" step while hiking rough terrain/scrambling. The goretex lining works for me and I never felt too hot even in desert hiking. I found wearing the Arcteryx hiking socks really improved the fit over typical hiking socks I usually wear (smart wool, etc.) - they are snug, thin but robust. I chose the Acrux over other Wide fit boots - which I found were still too loose for anything that wasn't smooth paths. The only potential problem area is the way the synthetic upper creases with your foot on the instep - hard to explain, but there's a way that the fabric folds up into a point (like a deflated basketball) that one more than one occasion made me think I had punctured it while scrambling through a rocky patch.

I am on my second pair of these, becuase they fit me so well. They hug my feet amazingly, and had zero break-in period. I completely destroyed the first pair over the course of two summers backpacking in the rockies (multiple holes straight through the exterior, and the sole falling into pieces). The waterproofing also died pretty fast; on the first trip I hiked for 2 days in rain and wet summer snow, and stayed 100% dry. Within a couple months... they really weren't waterproof anymore. The website describes them simultaneously as "extremely durable", AND "being lightweight at the expense of durability". Confusing messaging. But I can confirm that it is the latter. To be fair, most other non-leather boots would have suffered the same fate as these ones. We will see how the second pair fares...

Huge fan of Arcteryx gear, so naturally gave these boots a try. Wear them 3-4x a week for work. They're rugged, waterproof, extremely comfortable (right out of the box), and stylish (have received compliments on them). So as with pretty much every other Arcteryx gear I have, didn't disappoint. True to size as well, I pretty much wear 9.5 in all my footwear and this required the same size. Only reason I deducted one star was for the "cheap" laces. They rip apart with normal use. Would love to see this boot in a dark brown.

These boots are great, light, durable, and ninja sexy. However, there was something that just felt off... 'twas the elastic laces. I highly suggest swapping the OG laces for some 325 paracord. With my new laces in I can finally get the boot that perfect fit.

The first pair that I ordered was bending inward instead of outward when I stepped and it was uncomfortably jamming into my arch. Only on the left boot though. I read a couple of reviews that cited the same issue as a defect. I ordered a second pair and they were perfect. Watch out for this when you're ordering them.

ARC'TERYX: ACRUX TR GTX BOOT MEN'S Sleek looking Lightweight Gore-Tex Hiking/Backpacking Boots! I've been wearing Arc'Teryx Apparel & Gear for over 20 years. Second time purchasing they're footwear. I wanted to wait until Arc'Teryx properly dialed in their Boots & Sneakers. The first pair of Arc'teryx footwear I just purchased was the Men's Aerios FL Mid GTX, and their are nothing but a lightweight Mid Gore-Tex Sneakers - they are NOT boots, and that's what I wanted. I return a second pair of the Aerios FL Mid GTX's to get the Men's Acrux TR GTX Boots, good decision. These are sleek looking lighter-weight hiking/backpacking boots. I am looking for and wearing more and more Gore-Tex Sneakers and lighter-weight Hiking Boots, so the more properly fitting Gore-Tex Boots to add to my footwear collection the better! It's nice to have options depending on the season, weather, temperature, and outfit to add to my footwear quiver. You don't always want to have to wear your heavy hiking-boots that lacks underfoot comfort just to keep your feet dry and free of debris that enables you to quickly rinse off without ruining your other expensive footwear. I intend on wearing these cool looking boots for more every-day outdoor wear with urban styling. Pros: Styling is super sleek as I love! They come in Black/Gray, a must! Climbing Shoelace Lacing System, Quality Climbing Shoelaces, cool looking SuperFabric, OrthoLite Insoles, toe protection. Cons: That I would like to see the Arc'Teryx Designers tweak. Sizing/Fitment: I feel they run pretty much true to size. BUT I would like to see the length shortened by 1 mm! I always need and require a performance-fit with having low to mid-volume feet. I feel the heel-cup could've been more aggressively contoured for a better heel-lockdown which is crucial. Comfort: The OrthoLite Insoles should definitely have more cushioning! I would like to see more needed Arch Support! I feel the Acrux TR GTX Boots are a bit flat-footed which I'm not used to, nor do I like due to the lack of heel height. Outersole/Midsole: I would like to see the midsole have additional heel stack-height of 1-2 mm so the boots have a more aggressive drop, and so you can have a more aggressive attack while walking/hiking. The Vibram Megagrip could be more contoured and have a cooler/sleeker looking tread pattern, and a more tacky grip. Quality: 4-Stars. I totally like and dig the cool looking and feeling SuperFabric! I don't care about weight. I care about proper fitment, overall comfort, underfoot comfort, lockdown, styling, durability, grip, longevity, and most importantly quality! Request: I would like to see a heavier-duty Men's Acrux AR GTX Boots in SuperFabric with Leather version as well!!! As a Creative Director & Designer I've always stated and recommended to corporate, if there's footwear that's popular why not make it in two different widths. One Performance Width which is what I desire and need, and one in a Wide Width to make every end-user happy. Props too Arc'Teryx for listing on their website the Manufacturing Facility where their products are made. That is done for authenticity, so we the end-users know it's authentic gear & apparel, and it's also nice to know where the products we love are being made. GearFreakNY :)

Tend to run through four seasons before reviewing a product but .... Boots bought tail end of the summer season but used extensively through autumn. Comfortable fit straight out of the box and no rush to take them off at the end of a long day out. Narrow fit which works well with my feet. A few slips on greasy rock (but don't most boots?) Wasn't convinced by the 'slick' laces but the mid placed lace lock works really well and laces stayed tied all day with a double knot. Not 100% waterproof in heavy rain (again, not many boots are) and some water ingress at tongue; would suggest damp rather than wet feet. A definite three season boot or low level winter. Not recommended for a crampon(?) but could take a strap on at a push. A great boot for all day three season use.
