As a happy owner of other Arcteryx hiking shoes, I needed something that would be a little warmer and higher to deal with winter/muddy conditions. I ordered these boots online in the exact same size as my other Arcteryx shoes and they fit perfectly. The waterproofing is exceptional and the heel is not too stiff or heavy like other boots out there. I primarily wear these boots when hiking in muddy/wintery conditions and when working in similar conditions on film sets.

I bought these boots a couple months ago, and was immediately impressed. As mentioned, there was very little break in period required. I have recently had two foot surgeries, and as a result, most of my old boots have no longer fit properly. I was initially concerned these would prove to be too narrow for my altered foot, but luckily they fit great, and accommodated my custom orthotics as well. I've worn them almost non stop for months and am very happy with the feel, look and support. Excellent first foray into Arc'teryx foot wear for me!

I bought these boots over a year ago for work as a Police officer. They have been the most comfortable boot that I have owned. I have converted 4 other members from my detachment who are all as satisfied as I am. They are light, durable and withstand the elements as expected from an Arc'teryx product! The only thing and it's job specific would be the reflective logo that I have covered but that would not be an issue for everyday wear. I whish that you could buy the laces separately as the boots definitely outlast the laces.

In the end I had no choice but to buy the Arc'teryx boots as other manufacturers either don't sell to Ireland or have horrible shipping and returns - Arc'teryx set the gold standard here. That said I'm very happy with them - very light weight, waterproof to a decent height and perfect for boggy trails during the winter. Worth the price in my my opinion given the quality.

Great all situations, warm, waterproof, light, and extremely comfortable since the first walk. Normally get the 42.5, bouth the 42-2/3 and they are super perfect! I am just happy, these boots are worth the money, and looks nice, sport, casual...

The look of this book is really striking, and I have to admit that that was one of the factors that prompted me to try it. Too many hiking or winter boots just have too much going on in the style department, but these have clean lines combined with awesome functionality. In terms of function, I've found the boots to be stable, warm, and supportive. Some may say they're on the narrow side, which is perfect for me. In terms of the looks department--although we thankfully have a fair amount of liberty with what we can get away with on snow days in New England--I'm really happy that these boots have simple yet elegant design that works out in a variety of venues off the mountain.

I did a 12 mile hike to Pear Lake in Sequoia National Park with snow on the ground and a steady snowfall coming down. The boots kept my feet warm, dry, and happy. I did 3 days and two nights backpacking in Yosemite this past weekend with 31 miles and 7000 feet of total elevation gain. It snowed and rained the first night then two beautiful sunny days. The boots held up well and got more comfortable as they broke in further. No hot spots. Kept my feet dry and comfortable even with no gaiters in the deeper snow on Clouds Rest. I wear a size 9 running shoe and am an 8.5-9 in regular shoes. I went with a size 9 and am happy with that call. Wore two Darn Tough socks the last night/day and had no issues with the thicker socks and boot combo. Only complaint was the lacing system came undone frequently and I found myself having to tighten and re-do my laces rather frequently.

I've been looking for a new pair of high-top GTX approach shoes since they discontinued the mid gtx guide tennies, and can say that these are the best I've had by far. I bought them just before a 10 day climbing trip to the Rockies, and broke them in on the 30+km hike to the Hind Hut on Mt Assiniboine, they were super comfortable out of the box and didn't give me any blisters the whole trip. They shine as a light backpacking boot, and are stiff and supportive enough for descending scree and talus. Although not marketed as an approach shoe they climb surprisingly well, I feel comfortable climbing up to 5.8 in these, and are great for scrambling and easy solo's. Due to the high top and gtx they take crampons well for glacier approaches or snow descents. I've only put about 150km and 7 peaks on them so far but have not found any signs of damage yet, just a few scuffs as you'd expect. Hopefully they pass the test of time! 10/10 would recommend.

Super light and nimble boots. Very minimal break in compared to other boots I've worn. The rap round rubber offers protection to your feet and to the boot. These boots do what they are designed to do and they do it well. I wear them as a park ranger and love them because they're light and offer adequate support (moderate pack). I find the sizing with Arc'teryx shoes to be a bit on the large side. I'm normally a 9.5 men's and these boots fit well at an 8.5 for me.

This boot is well made and comfortable right out of box. It performs well on long approaches, excellent performance while moving trough alpine terrain to include approaches on snow / ice and climbing through low 5th class terrain. They have held up well while taking them through a summer Alpine Trecking season in Alaska. Thank you for making a well performing and durable boot.

I've worn these over the last 6 months in the Cariboo-Chilcotin region of BC. I've used them the very cold -30 to warm 15 deg. I've used them in snow, ice, rain, mud, scree and on the hard tack. They fit true true to size and are comfortable. They are excellent boots no manufacturing deficiencies. I'd get them again.

I bought these to replace my leather Italian-made hiking boots I had for many years. Switching to this lightweight style boot has made a world of difference in my enjoyment of hikes. Didn't require any break-in, and are comfortable out of the box. The weight and tread are the biggest pros about these boots. They don't look very good in an urban setting or with a pair of jeans, but I didn't buy them for this reason.

Decided to risk them untried on a 17 mile hike on steep and rocky trails in the Tahoe/Desolation Wilderness. Usually those trails trash my feet, with nothing but loose or sharp/pointy rocks to walk on. These performed great - good insulation from the rocks, and felt as light as trail-runners. Not a single hot spot at the end of the day either, the heels were nicely gripped and prevented any rubbing.

These are the most comfortable boots I have worn. I wore them on the Maroon Bells 4 pass loop right out of the box and had no issues. The only complaint I have is they could use a little more cushion around the top laces. Every once and a while i could feel pressure from the tongue.

I bought these boots last month in anticipation of a trekking trip in Nepal. I wanted to break them in before my trip. When the box arrived I thought only one boot had been sent because the package was so light. When I discovered that the box indeed contained both boots I was skeptical. I thought "there is no way these are going to hold up". So far, I have been very pleased. These boots fit as though they were tailor made for my feet. They are very well made. I have worn them everywhere for the past two weeks and have not had the usual pain and pressure of a new boot. The only draw back is the black color. In the sun they get VERY warm.
