Paired with wool socks they are great winter boots. Stable yet nimble.

I bought these boots (maybe an earlier version of the GTX) for a trip I did with my wife and kids last summer. We travelled to Tanzania and climbed Kilimanjaro. It was my 65th birthday and an incredible adventure. I will just say these boots are indestructible and performed well in all conditions from the muddy trails of the rain forest to the rocky climb to the summit. I wore these boots for 6 days straight without an issue. Traction in all conditions was excellent including the Baranco Wall!. After we summited I recall running down skree slopes with one of the guides and just how sure footed I was. Here's a picture of me at the summit with the lead guide, Baraka. I'm wearing the boots, some Arcyeryx soft-shell pants as well as an older green Arcteryx gortex shell - probably early 1980s vintage. Just goes to show how resilient this stuff is. I had another shell with me -a Beta AR shell that I gave to one of the guides who helped my daughter when she was having issues with altitude. I bet that shell is still going strong. The equipment most of the guides have is very old and worn out, I gave my boots to another guide, Frank, as his were so worn they had holes in them. Often Frank would carry his pack and one of my daughters packs with his old worn out boots. Probably an opportunity for Arcteryx to test some equipment by sponsoring some of these guides. Anyway, Arcteryx equipment is excellent and I highly recommend their stuff if you are planning your own adventure of a lifetime! I did tell Frank I may go back and see if he and I can do the climb in 1 day. I guess I will need another pair of boots if I do that!

I bought these hiking boots a month ago, and they are perfect! They are really lightweight and yet very resistant. In addition, it's really correctly accessorized, with a locking lace loop allowing us to optimize the tightening of our shoes as best as possible

Very high-quality, impeccable build. Haven't hiked in them yet, but I look forward to. The boot felt tight up front when I first tried them on. I was just about to return them until I work with the lace adjustments that go all the way to toe box. Loosening the laces there improve the fit significantly. Now they fit true to size.

I just bought a second pair of these boots, my original pair just wore out after 3 years of hard use. These boots The fit is true to size, very comfortable and hold up in mountainous terrain. Pictured below are the old boots. They hold up well! These are great boots for moving around the mountains if you want comfort, performance both on trail or making your own. I highly recommend them.

These are brand new to me but I've been looking for something with a good vibram sole for a long time. They seem pretty well constructed and they are definitely very comfortable. My initial thought is that they are very nimble and comfortable for being so heavy duty.

I bought these for guiding on the West Coast Trail and they have been awesome! They broke in quickly (I find Arcteryx fits my feet well) and were comfortable for long days hiking tough terrain. I am also very impressed with how waterproof they are! We had 40mm of rain in 6 hours and these kept my feet dry walking through mud, creeks, puddles, and rising tides. The rubber and edge are great for some scrambling and modest climbing as well. Nicely done Arcteryx!

I've owned multiple pairs of boots over the years but no other has the same grip, strength durability and comfort as these do. Worthwhile purchase

Ordered online using the sizing guide. Ordered 1/2 size up. Wore them around work for 5 days and then hit an 18 km 1200 metre mountain hike. No hotspots or blisters. Lightweight and seem durable on screed.

Had these boots for about 10 months now. The last two weekends have really tested their waterproofness: 7 hours in heavy rain in the Peak District and wet mud in Leicester this weekend - totally dry feet. The sole is wearing well, they are nice and light and comfortable. I'm not sure how warm they would be in full winter weather.

This is a great hiking boot for when support and water protection are paramount. They aren't as light as a trail running shoe and they aren't meant to be. If you need something that is solid and lasts, this should be your go-to.

First pair of these for me. Very comfortable straight out the box, once you've found the right size (12.5 for me - I'm normally a 12 but sized up as advised). Lightweight and feel like slippers after a few miles. Would highly recommend.

I've owned these for over 9 months now so I feel I can report accurately on how they've been. I used them as casual boots around town, as full on hiking boots in the very wet highlands and even at work whilst working on a rescue hovercraft on the coast. They've been waterproof without question, super comfortable and true to size and even after heavy use have remained in remarkably good condition. The only criticisms I can really level at them are that the laces have started to fray a bit where they pass through the metal eyelets and the side of the tongue on both boots is starting to fray but it's not noticeable when the boots are done up and being worn. If you're looking for a first class general outdoors/hiking/waterproof/trekking about boot then I don't think you could do a lot better than these. Good work Arcteryx.

Finished up my first spring/summer season on these boots. Great fit right out of the box and a minimal break-in period. I've used these on all sorts of approaches; from snowy slippery rocks, and lichen-covered granite, to desert sandstone. They have stood up to the abuse I've thrown at them. My only qualm is the laces. After a season of use, the laces have shredded where they go through the clamp. I will eventually replace it with a more rugged dyneema lace. For an approach/backpacking boot it does come with the benefit of style and design. As a casual boot, they have worked as well with being a black colorway and don't attract attention like your standard "technical bootwear". Overall it's been a positive experience with these boots so far. I have a wider foot and the 9 is a good fit.
