The jacket runs a smidge small so I ordered a size up. In retrospect, I think I should have gone with my normal size. Otherwise, the jacket is perfect. Warm without being overly thick and the pockets are everywhere but not too much.

Haven't use it on cold so do not know how warm it can be. Exactly as of the picture showed.

The website recommended to order one size up so I ordered a Medium, I usually wear size small. It's a little too lose. Not sure if a size Small will be too small for me. I like the quality of the jacket. This is the third Whirllbird IV jacket I ordered this winter for my family and myself.

Very versatile jacket for the fall and mild winter. The inner down jacket is not particularly thick but warm enough for me.

Love this jacket! Pretty inexpensive compared to other brands, and it's a timeless pattern. It's true to size - I normally wear a size small and I ordered a size small. It gives you enough room for your base layers but isn't bulky. You're basically getting 3 different jackets in one, and there's a good amount of pockets.

This jacket had the key features I was looking for which is waterproof, being the 3 in 1 style, having color/pattern suitable for mature adult, moderate price point, and polyester/nylon liner (rather than the usual fleece). I also liked the fact that the XXL size was available. I have wide shoulders, and sometimes I have to size up 1 or 2 sizes, so it can be hard to find a jacket that fits in the shoulders without being too big in the chest/body. I sometimes have to go up to 1x which makes the jacket very big in the chest. This jacket is slightly big in the chest but it's OK for a casual winter jacket, and the foil insulation method helps to limit the puffiness factor. I was also worried that the light blue color would show all the dirt, but the cross dye pattern has a very slight grey tinge that helps to cover mild smudges. This jacket is very warm, even for New England weather, and is great for everyday winter wear. I think it would be fine for temperatures up to -15 degrees below zero depending on your layers and your personal tolerance. I plan to wash it using special detergent for waterproof clothing to maintain it going forward.

This is a very nice, warm coat! I love the ability to remove the liner and wear separately. I love the bright blue of the liner! Powder skirt is a nice feature. The size chart is a bit off and I purchased a coat that was too big initially. Luckily, I was able to exchange it (minus shipping). Love Columbia!

I bought this for my 19 yo daughter. She loves it! It fits perfectly, the color is beautiful on her, well made, and it has a pocket for everything. She's 5'10" 145#.

Fits great, waterproof, warm, not too bulky. I wear this thing everywhere! The only thing that would make it perfect would be finger gloves built in the bottom layer (like my other Columbia puffer) but that's just me, still the perfect jacket and very affordable!

I love this jacket. It is warm but not bulky at all. Even in size XXL I did not look like the Michelin man. I will get so much use out of this 3 in 1, with the full combination, just the lofty inner jacket or just the outer jacket.

I love this jacket. It's very warm without being stifling, and still lightweight. Having 3 options for wear means I'll use this almost all year - the outer shell is light enough for spring and fall use too.

I love this coat. When I looked at other ratings, it got high points for durability and function and low points for style. I bought it for skiing in the northeast. It has been cold, rainy, and snowy on various trips, and I have been warm, dry, and comfortable the whole time. The built-in hood can be tightened. There are pockets inside and outside, and a hook for keys in the right pocket. All pockets zip. Additionally, the liner can be removed and worn as a jacket and it also has its own pockets. The shell will double nicely as a raincoat in warmer weather, and there are side zippers in them for air flow. I am a petite size 6 and I bought a small. I have room for a thick sweater underneath. The sleeves are a little bit long, but I like that because it keeps my gloves from filling up with snow. I would definitely buy this again and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good coat, for winter sports or just for everyday life.

Love it. It's so nice to have a coat in a large size that has all the same tech fabrics in it as the smaller sizes and it's super cute.

This jacket is amazing and great for running during cold winter days! You are getting two jackets, easily detachable. It is 2 in 1, winter & spring running.

Loved everything about this! Went skiing and it was perfect. It was warm and comfortable. The black and white color pattern was very chic, I felt girly and sporty. The white puffer inside made it very warm and I can wear by itself when needed and it looked very nice.
