I had four pairs of the ghost 10’s that I loved. When the 11’s came out I tried them and they weren’t the same fit at all. The 12’s are much more like the 10’s. I’m so happy they changed the toe box and arch support to match the older models.

Finally!! I've been holding on to my Ghost 10s long after they provided much cushioning because Brooks's changes in the Ghost 11 made them unwearable. These are much closer to the Ghosts I knew and loved -- wider toebox, not such a "I am wearing high heels!" feeling from the cushioning that interfered with my orthotics, and even though the top wraparound fabric is rubbing against my toes, I can live with it because my foot is finally supported correctly. Heel could be a little narrower too, but after trying other brands and other styles of Brooks this is the only one that gives me cushioning without interfering with push off and my orthotics. BTW, the tasteful gray (granite, peacoat) in the picture? It's really a very girly lavender with a salmon accent (which I find kind of yuck). Why are wide shoes always discriminated against in terms of color selection? (I have to wear wide in order to have room for the orthotics.) Hey Brooks, why not design a shoe with more vertical height for those of us who wear orthotics so our feet don't slide around in a slightly too long shoe? Market opportunity. But anyway, thank you for finally bringing back the fit from Ghost 10.

I wanted to love these. I loved the Hollyhock and black. But not enough cushion and as with other brans lately, these are not wide enough, even in the wide width and I don't take a wide normally. I wish Brooks would keep the toe box wider as with the previous versions and not the sock like fit. A lot of us still wear socks and need to wider room for foot issues. Sad to say I had to return them. Even though I loved the colors, the mesh isn't my favorite look and the width just wasn't wide enough. Guess I look for another Brand now. Glycerins have the same problem, although more cushion they are also uglier as a shoe with the big mesh holes.

When I read another review about how these were similar to the Ghost 10 I purchased 2 pairs. The customer was right. They fit exactly the same! I have a terrible bunion that I really don't want surgery on and I'm an avid walker. The toe box could be even bigger but it might be my foot. Going to order more for the closet before they change the style again.

If I could give these shoes 6 stars I would. I’ve had many pairs of Brooks and these are by far the best. They’re very similar to the Ghost 10s with improved design.

This is my 5th model of Brooks Ghost and they are exactly as cushy and supportive and have the same roomy toe box as last year. I wear them with Balega socks and I always size up 1/2 size exact same as every other model of Ghost. I wear a 9 so I get a 9 1/2 and I have extra room at end of toe for swelling as I'm on my feet all day. I can also use them for Zumba. The pink ones were a nice change but still a pink peachy neutral... Go good with black scrubs. The shoelaces are cute and the black speckled doors are unique but not flashy. There is still protection for toes as there is an inner semi rigid toe guard as well as the other black rubber guard. There are so good for nurses on their feet all day. So comfortable!

They required no breaking in. They have ample toe space and padding for Morton’s Neuroma. They provide excellent arch support for flat feet. I would have given five stars, however, after less than a month they have snags where the material nearly meets the sole (previous versions had a protective cover here) and it has started coming unglued. I added a photo. I have been excessively careful with them knowing they have fabric to the sole with no protective covering. These are very expensive sneakers to fall apart so quickly, especially since I’ve been so careful with them. You can see in the photo they are virtually new yet they are snagged and coming unglued. I have not put them in a washing machine. They have not been wet but even so, how is anyone able to avoid being outside when it suddenly rains? I’m extraordinarily disappointed in Brooks right now. I don’t understand why all their sneakers have no protective toe cap.

While training for the Chicago Marathon I experienced significant achilles tenderness. I switched to Brooks Glycerin which got me through race day, and definitely diminished my achilles pain. After doing a little more research I decided to try Ghost 12 for my next round of training and have not been disappointed! I have higher arches, achilles tenderness and my forefoot is a touch wide. Ghost 12 is true to size (note I size-up at least one full size in running shoes), forefoot width is perfect and the higher heel-toe drop take stress off the achilles. I've put about 40 miles on them and so far super comfortable with no achilles pain. And the blue is obnoxiously awesome!!!

I returned these because the toe was much more pointed than the Ghost 11 & squashed my toes. The 11 had a nice box toe that gave me plenty of room, not so the 12. I don't think it was the shoe size that was the problem, but the style.

Loved the shoes until 3 weeks after purchase the soles separated making the shoes unusable. When you pay this much for a shoe you expect them the last for more than a dozen wearings.

These fit well with my custom orthotics and I love that there are no seams to bother my bunions. I'm glad that Zappos had these in the granite/peach color, it's great for summer and when Fall comes. I loved Brooks before but hated the Ghost 11 so was wearing Mizunos, they were good but broke down faster than the Brooks. I highly recommend them for anyone with foot problems, I've tried them all!

I was so excited about these as I loved the sprinkles design and rainbow laces! However, the shape of the shoe is outdated. Looking down at my feet, they looked like duck feet! Super wide and bulbous toe area! Literally, these made me look like I was wearing Disney character costume feet. Awful profile. They looked so much more streamlined in the photos. Once I had them on, they aged me 25 years! The design needs more than cute sprinkles and rainbow details to render them "of the moment." Returned.

I am not a runner. I purchased these for walking shoes while recovering from a broken ankle. I do not wear heels n but have always found a heel height of about an inch to be more comfortable than a flat. I don’t know the heel height of these shoes but they were good for me. I did need a half sized larger than the size of athletic shoe I usually wear. There is quite a bit of padding around the ankle area which I never had in a shoe before. Maybe it is common in good running shoes. It took some getting used to. I wanted a color that was not too dark for the summer. The gray shoes are a very nice color. It seems to have some blue tones, not an industrial gray. It goes very well with denim. I really like the peach trim. It does show stains from normal wear. My picture shows shoes that are 3 months old with a lot of wear. I usually wear socks for the day. Because I do not walk in an unsupportive shoe since my fracture I slide these on sockless to use like slippers. The lining is very smooth and comfortable. Probably the best lining of any athletic shoe I have ever had.

I have high arches. These shoes have plenty of flex, the right kind of targeted cushion, and awesome laces. We are back to Brooks Ghost being amazing again. Won't miss you style 11. I love these so much I bought my husband a men's pair. He loves them too on his neutral foot. Including a pic of when I got them to show color.

Too narrow in the toe box. Ghost 11 is wider. Great cushioning and comfort, though. Going to try a 1/2 size larger...

I have several pairs of Ghost 11 and I ordered the new Ghost 12. I found that the length was a tad shorter. At first I didn't notice it. But by the time I noticed it, I couldn't return it because I had worn it outside. I developed a neuroma on a toe because of the slight squeeze that is not there in Ghost 11. Maybe it's because of the length, but I think the width, which I got the wide, isn't enough. I miss the forefoot space.

I have purchased a ton of running shoes over 20 years and this shoe is my absolute favorite. This even wins over the Brooks Glycerin. As for size, I normally wear an 11 medium in Brooks Levitate, and an 11.5 wide in Asics Shoes. In this shoe I wear an 11.5 medium. I would recommend going up a half size if purchasing this shoe. Cushion is amazing as well as arch support. Gonna purchase more of these. Highly recommend

I ordered a 7 Med in the Peacock which was nice looking just a little loud for me but still liked it. The arch support was ok but I needed more and more on the heel support. It seem to run narrow and the underside of tongue was uncomfortable and rough on the top of my foot. Ghost 12 did have more arch than the Launch 6 to me. With having mortons neuromas and problem feet and legs I need supportive shoes. Maybe we can all help each other with problem feet if we put on our reviews what the problem is and if shoes helped, that would be so helpful to others.

When I order men's sizes, I usually wear an 11.5 men's medium width. I ordered several pairs of these shoes, 11.5 medium, 11.5 wide, 12 medium and 12 wide. The 11.5 medium was too narrow, but the length was good. The wide width was way too wide for my foot. I ended up keeping the 12 medium. They are extremely comfortable to run and work out in. The toe box is nice a roomy in all of the sizes. If you do not have a truly wide foot, but need a little extra toe room (like I do to accommodate my bunions) you might want to consider going up a half size in the medium width instead of ordering the wide width.

I was so excited to get my new Brooks Ghost 12's. From what I had read, the fit was going to be just like my 3 year old Ghost 10 pair. The fit felt good so I wore them on a walk. My feet hurt so badly at the end of my 4 miles I had to massage them when I got home. I also had a twinge in my hip. I am so sad to be returning these shoes. I wish Brooks would bring back the Ghost 10!!!

Very comfy for running! Really made a difference in knee pain. I usually have significant knee pain when running in my other shoes. These shoes kept me from hurting!

I LOVE the look of the Melts collection but the laces are more like ribbons and come untied when you run, even when double tied. Not acceptable for a serious runner.

These are the most comfortable running shoes I have ever worn. They fit perfectly and I love the color. I previously had the Brooks Ghost 10 which I also liked, but the Brooks Ghost 12 are even more comfortable.
