These shoes are primarily for running. It was quite miraculous how my knee pain while running went away when I switched to these shoes (from the earlier version). However, I would not recommend them for everyday non-running wear: the stiff upper edges poke me in the ankles while standing or walking.

These shoes are well made, fit good and fell comfortable. The only minor problem is they are kind of heavy. They aren't running shoes . I wear them all the time and the weight really isn't a problem. They are a good shoe that is made in the USA. They are winners.

I wanted a 9 4E. That is what I ordered. I noted that the order was changed by you to a 9 6E when I saw the recap of the order, and tried to change it back, to no avail. When they came, they will do, but not as good as a 9 4E. I was not able to find the exact insole I have had before, and bought what looked about right. Again, they will do, but are not perfect. I have worn this model in 9 4E for many years. I have a very thick foot, and this shoe fits. I also have neuropathy in my feet, and they are very painful. I wear these shoes in the house and when I am out all day. The 9 4E seems to help with the pain. I have not really worn the 9 6E's yet, but I will. So, in summary, I love these 9 4E shoes, but was not totally pleased that you did not send me exactly what I wanted. Please contact me back if you wish to discuss this further.

Running and walking, however, while walking my right foot tends to slap the surface

Shoe strings are short, otherwise I pleased with the shoes

It seems like in other NB sneakers I had that the instep a little higher and the foot a little deeper in the shoe. The laces should be longer. Usually I get 9.5 length but did 9 with these. Comfortable and sturdy.

Runs a little big but the quality and comfort is#1

The support is amazing. So comfortable and love to jog in them. I only wish the shoe laces were a little bit longer.

I gave this 4 of 5 stars because this is my second pair, both fit well, are comfortable. the first developed a hole in the top of the toe box where my toe rubbed. I have had this problem before and NB should fix this.....

These shoes are comfortable but they are way too heavy to be a running shoe.

These were purchased since the style I normally get is no longer available. They seem to be ok as of this writing. I would really prefer a better color selection.

I use my NB for biking, walking and out during social gathering. The shoe's are very comfortable. I enjoy them.

I run 4 to 5 times a week somewhere between 3 to 5 miles at a time. Overall the shoes have great cushioning and support. Only downside is that they are a bit heavier then I am used to.

I've been buying these walking shoes/sneakers to accommodate my ankle brace. The price keeps going up each time I order and the quality seems to decrease. I noticed that the laces are now much shorter too.

The slight modification with the length of the tongue makes it a little difficult stepping into them and tying them

I enjoy the product, fits well and comfortable. I couldn't tell from the photo but the sole is thicker/taller than I would typically purchase. Overall solid product!

I like the shoe but would need to order in a wider size

I am a walker and not a jogger. I need shoes that provide stability and motion control and this shoe does that very well. I chose the 1540V3 as a second pair to the 1340V3 I currently own. The sole on the 1540 shoe has done away with the cavity in the heel and I like that as I no longer get gravel wedged in that cavity. The tongue of the 1540 is about 1/4 inch too short. It's just a tad short when putting the shoes on. The laces of the 1540 shoe are also a bit shorter than the 1340 I may or may not replace them. Overall the 1540 has the great motion control and stability of the 1340, eliminating the heel cavity on the 1540 is an improvement in my mind. Couple of minor issues with the shorter tongue length and laces. I'm guessing there are other technical improvements in the 1540 but I didn't notice them.

The shoes are very supportive and comfy. If I had my druthers they would be just a tad lighter and have a slightly bigger tongue in the shoe. Other than that, really solid shoes!
