best work shoes ive ever has i have purchased 3 pairs in 6 years

I've been looking for a substitute for Reebok Princess since those have gone downhill in quality. I wanted something super squishy underfoot for hiking, but my feet are sensitive so I need something comfortable right out of the box. I like the way these look. A lot of athletic shoes are all mesh, which is fine for breathability but not fine if you step in wet leaves or a puddle. These have a solid leather-like fabric (I don't think it's leather.) which keeps out water. I mean, not 100% waterproof but good enough for me. Also, it's all black without any distracting logos or other nonsense. I like that the bottom has a grid tread of varying thickness; I think that will be grippy on a variety of surfaces. When I first put them on, the tongue is rather stiff and uncomfortable against my instep, but I think that will loosen up in time. It is not as squishy underfoot as I had hoped. I've only had them for a few days but my initial impression is that they'll do for now, but they are not going to be my new go-to shoe.

These are comfortable shoes. I did have to order a half size up but that was due to the shoe only being available as a medium. I normally wear a wide shoe and ordered up a half size to have more room for my toes. I did return them because they squeak. Not just a small amount but with every step. It was so annoying that I returned them. Both the size 8 and 8.5 made noise. The shoes were just what I needed but I could not take the squeaking with every step.
