Although these shoes did FIT my feet, it felt like my heels were IN HOLES and the rest of the foot slanted upwards while walking in them! Secondly, they also have this weird design where the toes actually point upward! I hated how that looked and it reminded me of elf shoes minus the bells! So these shoes did not work for me.

Ordered size 13 4E, same size as my Asics GT1000 5 pair, but these GT1000 8 pair are not a 4E width. They feel almost like the normal width shoes, as if they didn't widen the shoe to 4E at all. Returning these and will probably go with a different brand, as most Asics reviews for their newer shoes, have this same complaint about the large width sizes no longer being the actual larger width size as labeled.

I purposely buy a very wide shoe so that my custom orthotics will fit in them. I've worn the GT-1000s in the past, and these are pretty much how I expected them to be. I will note that they did seem to be a bit more cushiony than previous models even though the gel window is no longer present.

I needed new shoes for vacation, and bought them a week before to make sure they were comfortable. They fit me perfectly, and after a couple days, I felt safe wearing them for long periods of time. These shoes saw me through 10 days of major long days of walking, and never gave me any problem. Very comfortable, and I would buy them again.

My son has been running in the GT 1000’s for the last three years. These are the latest and greatest ones he got and he loves them! He is considered a neutral over pronation so these shoes are perfect for him! He runs cross country and track and there’s no other shoe he wants to wear!

This is a review for the Asics GT-1000 8 in black, safety yellow, orange and white. General: These shoes are quite comfortable right out of the box and need very little, if any, breaking in. I could go running right away and felt like they were ready to race. They fit snugly and comfortably around my foot and ankle area when laced up tightly. The tips of the shoe arches up nicely for maximum grip and to me, they look fantastic! I wanted something loud and exiting and these were a good selection for me. Performance: These are running shoes. They are designed to be used for running. They are NOT designed for jogging and especially not for walking. These shoes are designed for maximum impact on road surfaces and do not offer proper cushioning for the aforementioned softer situations. I found these shoes to be harsh during my warm up jogging but as soon as I started sprinting, they were quite acceptable and I felt in control. Some running shoes are unstable for me at speed and cause me to easily veer off course. I haven't felt that with these shoes too much. I wouldn't recommend these shoes if you're going to use them for walking for exercise, jogging or training. Some running shoes are suitable for these situations but I feel that these should be used strictly for their intended purpose which they do just fine.

ASICS are always a good choice for my son, who puts MILES on them...running cross country and everyday wear at school. Excellent price for the value and they always hold up!

I really like these. I use for walking and they are perfect. I don’t know if they would provide enough support for running. They were marked 2E, but might have been a bit narrower than most 2Es I have. For the price, a good value. Nice color can be suitable for men and women. Recommend something else for running.

The shoes fit comfortably and are true to size. I went to the local running shop and got properly sized for running shoes. Being flat footed and bow legged means running isn't my thing. I've worn these now for the past week running on the treadmill everyday. They work as advertised and I've not experienced any pain at all. Having the right shoes makes a difference. I did notice that the shoes are about a half size longer overall than shoes from different manufactures, which may make your feet look longer than you are used to. Not a problem for me but some may not like it.

I have a wide tall foot. It's hard to find shoes that fir. These do. Good Cushioning and OK support. I always have to add an othhortic for extra arch support. They fit in these shoes and feel great.

Liked the shoe but no way it was a 4e width way to narrow . Had to return

I buy these shoes every 6 months and this model's 4E width is no longer the same. I saw a few other similar reviews but gave it a shot anyhow but forced to return.

Ordered a half size larger than I usually do and did so in a 4E, but the midfoot was so tight I had to return them. Ordered a New Balance in the same size and it fit perfectly. But we all know there is no consistency in the shoe industry in sizing.

These shoes have been great for me for running. My feet are quite sensitive to getting blisters after I run in them for a while. These seem to have a great fit for me. They are comfortable and hug my foot in the right places to avoid rubbing. I’ve used them for a couple of weeks now for running, and I have had no blisters or irritation. I would definitely get these again.

size 14 (4E). Overall shoe fit was acceptable, with the exception that shoe felt slightly narrower than other style that I received on same order.

These shoes always fit perfectly! I work on concrete all day and need plenty of support. I have tried many other brands and none of them live up to ASICS! These are great for standing all day on hard surfaces or running down the sidewalks in my neighborhood. Plenty of support and a nice fit! Shoes are not heavy and clunky like some others. I will always reccomend these!

Fit is the same as the Saucony Jazz Pro Lows that I was wearing as my daily pair. Wanted better stability for moderate pronation, and these are feeling good.

The GT-1000 8 fits great and supports my high arches very well. I'm very pleased with the shoes and expect long wear from them!

I don’t know what is going on with ASICS, but they need to stop changing shoes every year! They ruin perfectly well made shoes! This pair was way too narrow for a 4E and the toe box curls up!
