They are very good in the waterproof department, but they run ankles very badly, so 50/50 on good and bad

Great shoe. Great support. Can wear all day. But my skin is having a reaction to the materiale and I get a rash when I wear them.

So I've had these boots for about a month now and am sorry to report that they are not up to your usual standards. I am a water worker and have had several pairs of Ariat boots in the 10 years I've been doing this work. First time I wore them to work I spilled chlorine on them and they stained even after cleaning and polishing them they were still messed up. Ok so black boots may not be the best choice for my industry but I figured lesson learned. Today was the first time I've had to wear them in a hole during the compaction part of the job the compactor scuffed the toe and ripped the leather down to the composite toe protection making the boots useless for working in water. Finally I found that the slip resistant soles are not that great either as I have had a few instances where the boots weren't gripping on metal surfaces and were really bad after getting hydraulic oil on them ( on asphalt). The good thing is that they are very comfortable and look great (new). Just a shame they are calling them work boots.

These are not fit to size whatsoever. Not even close. A full size off for me; maybe even 1.5 sizes. Too wide too.

The top flairs of the boot cut into my ankles uncomfortably. The boots are also very heavy for a Chelsea causing some slipping even though the shoe fit my foot width and ankle was snug. Seemed as heavy as a typical work boot with reinforced sole and toe, but no laces to keep them on my foot. I've ordered Florsheim Work Loedins and the weight difference is staggering. I have wide feet, so probably should have gone with the 11 or 11.5 EE instead.

These are comfortable. I'm a woman and bought the wide size. The opening is still too small to get my foot in and out quickly. My sock is pulled off when I take my foot out. I'm a ff and need to be able to take these on and off quickly. I can't with these. So, I wear them off duty. I rated them true to size, because they are. After I squeeze my foot through the opening.

They fit extremely tight around the foot behind the toe.
I have 2 other pair of Chelsea Boots of another brand. They fit comfortably,if not a little loose.
All of the sizes are 7 1/2.
With that being said, they are a great looking boot and seem to have plenty of cushion for the sole.
Unfortunately, for my size, I usually have to order on line because no one stocks my size anymore.

boots were really comfortable but they were not durable lasted about 3 months. The backs of the boots stared to rip out on the inside from putting them on and taking them off. other than that good boots everything else lasted still comfortable.

A struggle to put on, specially if you have wide feet and big heels.

The choice I make does not correspond with my request, the front iron hurts me a lot, I can not walk, it is for this reason I want to change it. I am waiting for you for the following steps. Thank you.

They look great. When you aren't moving they are comfy. I work in the film industry doing construction. Has to buy new boots because these completely chewed up my heel. I haven't worn them since.

I really wanted to like this boot since everyone seems to really like them. My Redwings were wearing out and the model I have is no longer made. The soles of the shoe are very comfortable but the problem I had is the looseness of the back of the boot where it makes contact with my calf. Every time I would take a step I can feel the top of the boot rubbing against my leg to the point where it got very uncomfortable by the end of my work day. When I got home I took my socks off and there was a small hole on my right sock where the boot was rubbing against. I even bought a half size smaller than I normally wear since this is a slip on and the fit is pretty much fixed. Upon further inspection to make sure its not just me doing something wrong there is no padding at the back of the shoe, none! Its basically a thinly padded black leather surround at the top and the rest is thin leather against a cloth sock. I think Ariat has a good concept with a slip on work boot but they need to add a lot more padding. Maybe version 2.0 will solve this and I'll give Ariat another try.

These boots are very comfortable for everyday use and very lightweight compared to other boots I've worn. The only issue is they start to come apart from the sole and last about six months. This is my third pair, and all have had the same issue.

Boots were too noisy and too clunky. The leather was very hard and stiff. For some reason the right carbon toe was hurting my toes.

Heavy boot compared to others. Too loose on feet. I've worn slip on boots for years and years, love slip on but the boots need to still be snug while wearing, especially when in muddy or rocky terrain

Bad design. They are built with a seam where the leather is sewn together that squeezes the top of my foot. Like a fool, instead of returning them "unworn", I tried to tough it out and wear them a few days. Now, I can't return them. I will have to get some other option. Ariat should look at the design other Chelsea boots like Doc Martins or Blundstone, that connecting seam is at a diagonal, for good reason. Also, these make my feet hot and sweaty, Gross !
