Great walking shoes for my daily hikes on the island

I love my new balance shoes. I am not a shoe hog by any sense of the word. I have one pair of dress boots, one pair of snow boots, one pair of sandals and one pair of tennis shoes. My last pair of new balance did me proud for 12 years but the soles were well worn and it was time for some new shoes. Ones with traction. I love that new balance offers wide width shoes, they are hard to come by. I like my new pair though the insoles could have more cushioning. I wore the a few times on errands to break them in and then went out for a walk on our first nice day. I ended up with blisters on the balls of both of my feet right near my toes. Now I need for them to heal before my next foray, which will be to the store to buy some cushy insole inserts.

Need a shoe with a wide toe box. On my feet 10 - 12 hrs daily. Till the end of the day, ties feel cramped. Also may be this style but a list weight.

I have worn the same size New Balance for 40+ years. i ordered these shoes and they are about 1/2 size too small. I will see if they stretch over time.

Love the 608 for what it is. Faithful consumer for 20 years. New Balance is better when made in USA.

I have purchased these shoes before, I liked them as they were comfortable, and light weight. I had yo return these as I needed a half size bigger. Shoes are the right size, its just now I have to wear a brace on my right foot, and I needed a half size larger then I ordered.

Needs more arch support, and for a 4E it was too narrow. I put shoe stretcher in one to make it wider. Takes a month or so to stay stretched, so I'll know in a week if it's going to work out.

Super comfortable walking shoe. Unfortunately white only....

Padding in arch support could be improved. Otherwise, these are very satisfactory.

Great for my on-line home walking program. It's not just walking. we move all around forward/backwards, side to side, etc. These cross trainers are great esp with the ball of foot support in the insole. Very happy I purchased them.

Could of got the item 10% Cheaper from the New Balance Store. The last item I will ever buy from LLBean.

Everything about this pair of shoes meets the quality and feel of other New Balance Shoes that were purchased.

I use this type of shoe regularly for volunteering and in the gym. New Balance is not my favorite but the sale was to good to miss. The shoes are comfortable but I need a thicker sock to make them a really good fit

I like these shoes. The tops are a little higher than most walkers I've worn, so they might work for short hiking. My left foot has been sprained several times, and this higher top will hopefully keep the foot from turning. Definitely order one-half size up. I purchased comfort insoles for these shoes, and need every bit of space.

Nice shoe, very attractive and comfortable, fits well. Not up to the standards of the original 928 shoe, but about half the price. Downside, made outside the USA, but at least it's not made in China.

True to size, unfortunately B width fits me better, but it's not available. D is "close enough" with sweat socks. Quality is good as I have come to expect from NewBalance
