These boots are awesome! I love the style and the waterproof feature is an awesome bonus! I fully agree with previous reviews that they take an hour or so to break in, but are surprisingly super comfortable after that. The waterproof layer started to look a little grey once the leather started softening up, but that quickly faded back to normal. I wore them walking all over NYC on day one, and my feet felt great. The heel is just the right height for easy walking. My one criticism / warning for future purchasers is the zipper tabs are quite loud when you walk...it's fine on the street, but I was trying to tiptoe around my quiet office so as not to disturb anyone! I bought some rubber cement to layer over the metal tabs to hopefully quiet them down.

The toe box is roomy, not tight at all. These boots have a great city, sophisticated look and are comfortable out of the box. I usually wear lower heels, but the substantial heel makes it stable and the height is low enough not to create pressure on toes.

I must say for starters, this shoe is classy and gorgeous and I’ve gotten a bunch of compliments. The white stitching is much more prominent in person and makes the shoe unique. I’ve owned a Cole Haan weather tech shoe in the past and the quality held up for over two years so I decided to try a new style. I am giving this 4 stars not 5 because of the zipper on the back of the shoe .. it drives me CRAZY. I did not see this on any other reviews, but the zipper with the pretty gold fixtures hits against the back of the shoes when i walk and makes the most ANNOYING clicking sound. You can’t hear it when walking around in the city, but in the office it’s so obvious and loud. I could cut off the gold piece, but that would be a shame because it really completes the look. Otherwise, love the style, pretty comfortable and only took 2-3 wears to break in, and the quality looks great. Waterproof seems to hold up thus far

These are beautiful boots made of very nice leather. Unfortunately, they were way too narrow in the forefoot for me. I am between an 8 and an 8.5, so I usually size up in shoes with narrower toes, but that didn't work this time. They don't come in a wide width, so I will return them.

Good boot. Slightly too stiff around the ankle so I can’t wear it with tights (hurts) but great with regular socks. Love that it’s waterproof.

These are perfect!!!! Oh, my goodness. I love these boots. They are so comfortable and the waterproofing is real. I've worn them in the rain a few times and they've held up beautifully. I wanted something elegant that I could wear to work--I often have to walk between buildings on a very hilly campus to get to different meetings, so I have to face the elements, icy stairs, mud puddles etc. Yet I need to arrive looking great. The heels on these boots are very elegant--yet EXTREMELY comfortable and very steady for walking. These boots feel so perfect they even make me feel stronger and more confident. When I first tried them on an started walking around, it felt like they might be a little snug around the ankle and possible rub a bit. But I had seen another review that commented on this and that the leather broke in right away. This was completely true. The leather broke in after one or two days of wearing at work without any actual rubbing occurring. Then voila--perfection. I just hope they keep making boots like these well into the future because they are amazing.

These are beautiful shoes, and are comfortable to wear. The zipper pulls are a little noisy, but not a deal breaker.

I love everything about these boots. They run true to size. My foot is slightly narrow, and these boots are the right width for me. I bought the black, and liked them so much, that I bought the tan, too. These are very well-constructed boots. The sole is thick and non-slip. The footbed is comfortable with padding and support. The shape of the boot, with the tapered and slightly rounded toe, is stylish. The leather is good quality. The white stitching around the boot adds to the style. The zipper in the back did not rub at all. The fact that these are waterproof is a huge bonus. I like having a heel, and this one adds about 2 inches, and does not feel high. I highly recommend these boots, especially at the sale price!

Size is great, I'm usually 9.5/10 and I went with the 9.5.

Overall great boot. Stands up well to the elements and to New York City streets, and quite comfortable. Only complaint is when worn with tights, the back of the top opening rubbed my skin raw. Not a problem with normal socks or leggings. Just not a tights boot.

Love these!! Everything you expect from a quality pair of weather proof Cole Haans! Very comfortable and beautiful. They are definitely on the narrow side and I can see how the loud zipper could be annoying but so far it’s been ok.

Fit was big. I usually wear a 5.5 or 6 in Cole Haan. However, even though I ordered the smaller (5.5), it slips on my heel. The width seems fine for my narrow foot.

These booties are GREAT. They’re super cute, good quality, and well made. I did have to go half a size up. I had worn the first pair around the house for a few hours and I called Zappos to see if I can return/exchange (I felt they were too tight after walking around), and they took them back no problem! Zappos is the best!!

This is a great everyday boot! They are study, with a solid heel, and are very comfortable. I’ve had a long battle with plantar fasciitis, so I ordered a half size up (9.5 rather than 9) and my arch support inserts fit perfectly in these boots. I wore them for the first time during a very long day of work - commuting on the bus, 8 hours at the office, and a 3 hour networking event. The next day, my feet felt perfectly fine! The metal tassels on the zipper do make some noise when you walk, but it’s not a big deal at all.

I absolutely love these shoes! They are the absolute perfect color and style! I was a little worried at first because they felt pretty stiff. However, after a few wears the leather has really softened up. They rubbed a little at my ankles, but it never left any marks and is now gone after wearing in. They are still a little stiff, though. Also, I have small bunions on my feet, and these really rub there unfortunately. I bought some bunion cushions specifically for these shoes because they were too beautiful to give up! It has helped a lot, and the shoes only bother me if I wear them all day with lots of walking. Definitely worth it!

These boots are super cute and comfy! I read some reviews that said they make your foot look longer- I disagree. I got them here when they were still listed at 250$ on Nordstrom's website. I'm loving Zappos!

A little narrow, sized up a half size to accommodate. Otherwise a gorgeous boot.

I usually wear shoes size 6 or 6.5 (usually 6.5 in pointy). This boot like most Cole Haan shoes I ordered size 6.0 and it was perfect. Great looking boots in the Tan color. I whish i can get the black as well

The Cole Haan Winnie Grand Booties are beautiful and stylish; and goes well with basic black jeans to a dress. It's such a versatile boot. I wore it when it was rainy and the waterproof material held up. I'm a typical size 8 and I ordered the 8 and it was slightly too big so I sent it back and ordered the 7.5 which fit perfectly. The fit is really meant for narrow feet. The shoe takes a while to break into. The heel height is comfy. I have to wear it more to stretch out how narrow the shoe is. There are little danglers attached to the back. Every time I walk, it makes a sound but you get used to it. You can also remove it I guess.

These all weather boots were comfortable right out of the box and needed no breaking in whatsoever. The heel height is great for walking and just high enough to be fashionable. Highly recommended.
