I bought these for my husband while they were on sale. He usually wears Skechers and wanted to try a different brand since the Skechers memory foam insole offers virtually no support and always flattens out too quickly. He chose the gray/habanero color and they are very attractive in person. The orange is a touch on the bright side, but in a good way! I tried the shoes on and was pleasantly surprised at how cushioned they were for the price point. In fact, I am on zappos now purchasing the women's version for myself!

Genuinely improved my running. The first time in a long time where I didn't think about my feet during the run. Well fitted, supportive, cushioning and comfortable. Ran my first cross country half marathon in these shoes across fields, woodland path, stone tracks and cobble streets and they felt sturdy every step of the way.

Got these mainly for work because I needed something with a taller heel for Achilles tendinitis, and these alleviated that tension almost immediately. Started wearing them about a month ago, and I absolutely love them! The gel in the heel absorbs almost 100% of the shock I get when walking (I'm a pretty large guy), my feet don't hurt at all after a full day on my feet walking, and they are extremely breathable. Couldn't tell you how water resistant because I live in a desert basically, and haven't had rain, but with how breathable they are I wouldn't be surprised if they get your feet a bit wet. Good shoes, I'll buy them again when these wear out!

I really like the Asics Gel-Venture line as a daily shoe and wear them around the house and yard, running errands and on short hikes. At such a good price buying two pair so I can wear them on alternate days to allow them time to dry out between wearings, which makes them last longer, isn't a problem. For workouts I will buy Asics in the normal width because I like a controlled fit but I'm glad the wide is offered because it makes the shoe roomy and comfortable.
