These look really cool and my son loved them, but the material they are made out of is not meant to be on a shoe. Part of the shoe is made of a felt material that collects dirt and can't be washed. If you get a dark color, they'd probably be fine, but the white ones look terrible after one wear. These were definitely a waste of money.

If you're used to Nike sizing, these are oddly large. I always order an 11 with every other brand and 11.5 with Nike's. The 11.5's were huge.

This shoe is great once I went up a full size. Very comfortable and form fitting. I would highly recommend for everyday wear.

Looks great. But I needed a smaller size than what my sons foot measured.

I've been wearing these shoes to the gym everyday for 2 months now. Im 69in 180lbs in considerably good shape. took about 2 weeks to break in to where I did not get blisters anymore from running. I weight train 6 days a week and run about 5 to 8 miles a week. After about 1 month of wear I started to notice the sole was lifting on both shoes where my foot bends near my toes. Then a few weeks after that 2 small holes started to appear where my pinky toes rub. I opted for these shoes because I like a minimalist feel and had nike fly knits before these that I loved but they no longer make anymore. I will not be purchasing these shoes again. I wish I would have gotten longer than 2 months of wear out of these shoes.

Got these in a 9D (M) and they fit well (Have usually worn 8.5 D in the past in sneakers) when wearing thin sport socks. The shoe is light and comfortable to walk in.

After reading the reviews I expect to be disappointed. I think people forget we all have different feet with different needs. It may be better for you to explain the kind of foot you have so others can make a better choice for themselves. I have a wider foot for a Mexican female and men's shoes work best for me. Anyone who has ever purchased a pair of Nike knows they run narrow. The reviews stating these are too narrow may have very tall arches, which I do not have. The shoe is snug but that is a part of breaking them in. These do fit like socks and give me a feeling of a square toe box. Arch support is not that great and purchasing a half size bigger is key to make up for the tightness and inserts for arch support. Tightening with shoes laces is not the strongest feature with these but pitting like a sock is a wonderful feature. I find these delightful and changed my mind about the Nike line. Thank you, Nike.

**CAREFUL WITH SIZING!** Like other reviewers have mentioned, these sneakers are (strangely, for Nike) a lot more true to size so be very careful. I normally wear 10-10.5 in most dress shoes/oxfords, and even some sneaker brands. As a long time wearer of the Nike Free line (Free RN and Free RN Flyknits), I've always bought a full size up which usually ends up being 11.5 to leave a little toe-box room. Since people suggested going half a size down than usual for Nikes, I bought 11.5 and 11 -- the 11.5 was definitely way too big. The 11 even seems a bit big -- enough toe box room but perhaps the way the heel is designed (as well as the lack of real lacing support to compensate), I feel my heel slipping out slightly during mid-stride. I plan to buy a size 10.5 which is now approaching my real/dress shoe size, and see if the heel slip goes away without the toe box becoming too tight. Getting the sizing business out of the way, the rest of the shoe I'll say is overall very nice. It is completely different than prior Free RNs in terms of look and feel. It has a wider toe-box which is unusual for Nike (people with wider feet will like this), and because of the low contact points you feel more stability on the ground. There is 'some' arch support (not an option on Zappos reviews) and wouldn't say there is none, but as is the case with Free RNs and flyknit there usually isn't a ton of mid-sole support anyway. There is good heel support and a heel cushion as well as an achilles cushion toward the back which will probably help minimize any potential chaffing if you go sockless or use low cut socks. The look of these shoes (and the color scheme) is very stylish and 'different', but not in a bad way unless you prefer not drawing any attention. I'm a bit mixed on the lacing scheme with the Free RNs. Part of the reason I avoided the 2019 Flyknits was because of the lack of lacing. Here on the RN 5.0s there is a minimalist 4 hole (single X pattern) arrangement which is also off centered. It seems like the lacing here is more for show than anything else because you barely feel any additional stability of the shoe to your foot from tightening the lacing. This will factor into the sizing as I mentioned above -- if you don't have the correct size, do not expect to compensate for improper size by lacing tighter (or more loose). Overall they are a very comfortable and stylish shoe that according to Nike, is meant more for short distance training than it is for long runs or even all-day long term wear. As someone who likes a pair of Free RNs for everyday casual wear, these look great but may not be kind to your feet after an 8 hour day on them.

Tooo narrow! About mid sole of the foot it narrows, cause pretty excruciating pain. I wear a size 7 mens, and a true 6.5. I know nike tends tonrun narrow so this time i decided to go half a size up (7.5). Still tooo narrow! I've bought over 5 nike shoes these pass couple years, I either had to return them or give them away. They all had the same issue, they run painfully narrow. The only nike shoes that worked out perfect for me ever was a size 7 roshe. After all this time I thought if I can just find the perfect nike shoe size I csn finally have the nike shoe I'd like, but no... they have all sucked.... I think I will try one more time adn order a pair that has a wider width option... but at this point I'm so disgusted with nike that I think I'm going to start shopping strictly Adidas. I would not recommend this shoes for the average feet nor at this point confidently reccomend nike in general.

I normally wear size 11, but from my previous experience with Free RNs, I knew that I needed to get 14s - already a ridiculous mismatch, for no earthly reason (size 11 fits me just fine in other Nike styles.) This year's model, however, was a complete change from last year - for the worse! Even in size 14, they were so tight across the top that 10 minutes of wearing them made my feet completely numb. Super-long and extremely narrow... I can't even imagine who these could have been made for. Octopus tentacles, perhaps? Returned.

These turned out to be a lot more comfortable than I thought they’d be. They are a little different looking compared to your typical running shoe but they are also perfect for everyday use or working out. I definitely recommend to anyone who is considering them!

Ppl find reasons to complain about anything. Style, comfort, and fit are a 10 with this shoe. Would recommend this to anybody looking for comfort and also it's a GREAT walking shoe(you'll walk MILES with no discomfort). True to size. I own 3 pair.

Great fit, thin socks are a plus but once you get them on they are amazing. Wears like a sock but feels like a light weight running shoe. Looks great. The tiny volt green accents stand out against the black and the white soles look great.

Love this shoe. I have to agree with some of the other reviews in that I had to order a half size smaller. I typically wear 10 in Nike's but it felt too big. The 9.5 is actually a tad smaller than I would like but it hasn't been uncomfortable. I'm writing this after a week of use and it's feeling better every day. Interesting thing though is when I tried the same shoe on at Champs and Finish Line, the 10 was perfect. They just didn't have the color option I wanted. So I'm not sure if it's this specific color (obsidian mist) that has the sizing issue or if it's Zappos' stock. Either way I love the shoe and highly recommend it if you're looking for something different.

I’ve bought these Nike Frees for years now. Love their lightness, flexibility and overall comfort. In the past most Nikes as well as the Frees felt narrow and short. I wear 11.5 in virtually every other shoe I own. I primarily wear Keens 90% of the time and 11.5 fits me perfectly. The previous Nike Frees I wore I got in 12.5 which I used for work and wore a variety of thicknesses of socks. That worked well for me. These new Frees are more comfortable in the forefoot and longer so they come pretty close to my standard size of 11.5. But I will be wearing socks of varying thickness so I ordered a 12 this time. That is working out well for me. If you plan on using a thin, cycling type sock I would go with your normal size. If you might be wearing a thicker, padded sock like a Thorlo, a half size larger might be better. But as other reviewers mentioned these are definitely larger than the older Frees and a very good improvement overall I believe. You may have to try 2 sizes, normal and half larger. But start with your normal, that may work very well.
