I LOVE my New Balance Fresh Foam 1080v7. After trying the 1080v9 and a series of other "fresh foam" shoes, I decided to try these. Unfortunately, these look like a combination of nurse shoes and grandma shoes (I love nurses and grandmas but their shoes are not very fashionable). On top of that, these shoes were nowhere near as comfortable as the 1080v7 or of some other ones I bought for 1/3 the price until I find the right shoe. While the shoe is foamy, the foam seems rather rigid and with not much give.

These shoes do look a bit unusual, but I'm really pleased with how they feel. I run about 40 miles per week and am forever tied to New Balance because of needing to wear size 8 EE to accommodate my short, wide feet. These shoes feel firm, but still plush and supportive now that I've run in them for a couple of weeks. My elderly mother wears the same shoe size and tried these on to accommodate her power walks--she liked them so much that she ordered a pair for herself!! I'll be stocking up on more pairs.

These shoes feel like walking on a cloud. Worth every penny. I injured my foot over the weekend because I was wearing unsupportive shoes. I put these on this morning and my feet feel a million times better! I sized up a half size and upgraded to wide width and they fit perfectly. Style may be a little funky, but the color is really cool, and my goodness the comfort is amazing!

New Balance really dropped the ball with this one. I've worn the same size for years, but these are so small I couldn't get them on. My other New Balances fit just fine in the same size. It's like they took away material from the top and gave it to the foam on the bottom to end up with a typical shoe height. The width (left-to-right) seemed like it would be fine, but the depth (top-to-bottom) was woefully inadequate. Couldn't get them on and sent them back. If you wear a WW, try Brooks instead.

I really love these shoes. My plantar fasciitis was acting up and I needed a shoe that provided firmer support than my 1080v9’s. The mesh outer is perfect: not too stiff but also not too soft. I added Dr. Scholls running inserts for additional comfort as the soles are removable.

I ordered the pink shoe with cream sole and teal lacing. You can't see in the picture how absolutely uniquel beautiful and sherbet-y the color actually is. New Balance works well for my feet... I usually wear an 8 but always have to size up to 8.5 in NB as they seem to run a little short. These shoes are super spongey comfortable. Not too much to be odd, but just really comfy. I used them tonight at Orange Theory with no breaking in and they were really comfy. I have trouble with metatarsalgia (ball of foot pain) so I'm always on a quest for shoes that have more padding in that area. If you have the same issue, give these a try. I think you'll love them.

Finally, a good looking shoe that's a plush and supportive as my Hokas, and comes in wide! I saw these in a New Balance store, and the sales guy told me that they we're New Balance's answer to Hokas. The black color I got is better looking than the Hoka Bondi (their plush wide), so I tried it on and it felt great, but they didn't have my exact size. Thank goodness for Zappos, because I love these shoes! The toe box (in the wide size at least) is nice and rounded and not at all tapered or pointy, which I think defeats the purpose of a wide shoe. They feel great, and really cushion the ball of my foot without that mushy, unsupportive feeling. I will look for New Balance in the future

I am super happy with these shoes. I am on my feet over 8 hours a day with no breaks. I had another brand and by the end of the day my feet hurt so bad. These shoes are very very comfortable! I am going to get another pair because they are that good! They really do not look crazy on I was worried they would look like orthopedic shoes, they do not and I have received many complements.

In my opinion New Balance went too far this time....comfort is one thing - an angle that keeps you pitched forward is another. I think they are trying to rival the Hoka One One and did not get it right. I have worn Fresh Foam since they began...thought I would love these....NO WAY!

I tried many shoes, some from Hoka, that apparently is trending for good making a shoe with good support. Nothing felt comfortable until I got back to New Balance. It has as much support as the Hoka and my feet are happy wearing them.

Shows are super comfortable - the only problems with them for me is that the toe box is pretty narrow for the size and he heel is pretty wide and loose...I am laying socks which is fine ...toe box is a HUGE deal for me...otherwise super comfortable

The first day or two, the shoes were great. Nicely padded sole, cute shoe. But the shoe is designed to have your heel strike on the outside (pronate? supinate?). Not sure, but my ankles started to ache from being forced to walk in a position that wasn't natural for me. If that's your natural walk, you will LOVE these cute shoes.

I've been wearing 1080's for years due to my custom inserts. But Holy Moly these are just as good if not better! Love the color - Thistle. If you need a stiff sole for bunions or arthritis this is your shoe. Super comfy, will be wearing to my workout today.

These shoes have great heal support and are comfy if on your feet standing alot. The thing I did not like was they did not have much room in the toe box. The bottom of the shoe in the black/dark area is part of the sole of the shoe, so the profile is actually very low. They just look deeper because of the thick sole. I still like them, but notice if walking alot or for long periods of time, my toes feel squished.

This is a really nice looking shoe. I wanted to keep it, however it is a neutral last and did not work with my arthritic big toe joints at all. Too bad, had to send it back.

I recently began wearing extra wide shoes due to foot issues and these are tighter than other extra wides I have tried.

Clicks when I walk... something in the heel is noisy. Colors were very different compared to online. Returning.

Love this shoe for walking! The puffy sole makes this shoe a great shock absorber and ultra-comfortable. There is tons of cushioning all around the heel and ankle, they’re perfect! Just ordered a second pair in a different color.

I love these shoes. Due to a relatively serious ankle break in my early 20s, I have no cartilage in my ankle and very little "give" in that leg. Essentially, my ankle and foot bones have fused. We recently adopted two energetic young border collies AND then came the lockdown in our county, which meant that all the dog parks are closed, so I have to walk our dogs on a leash five to seven miles a day just to wear them out enough so that they don't destroy everything in sight! I ordered these shoes because the additional walking (often at a very fast pace) on concrete was causing me so much pain that I had to take Advil in order to sleep. These shoes were the answer! They absorb shocks so well that I now hardly have any pain at all. I have a regular sized 9 foot and the shoes fit perfectly in that size; now, that said, I've owned other NB shoes before so I knew that 9s would fit. I'm ordering another pair as back up. Highly recommend.

These looked a bit awkward to me at first, but when I put them on and looked at them actually on, they are cute. They feel amazing and I’m glad I purchased them! I could wear them all day!!

I love these! They fit true to size. I was concerned they would look too bulky with the “more” foam but they’re super cute! Recommended by my orthopedic dr for issues I have with stress fractures from soft bones.

The fit was true to size. I wear these shoes because I have Hallux Rigidus and it provides a good rocker-style bottom. The only issue that I have which is a manufacturer's flaw was that on the side of the shoe on the top there is a gapping of canvas material. I debated whether to ship these back for another pair, but it does not affect the actual shoe. So I decided to keep them.

A lot of cushioning. I ordered a 7 1/2 wide the length of the shoe is true to a 7 1/2. When standing up still The Rocker bottom keeps your weight off the front of your foot.

I love this shoe!! If there are any more left in stock, I am going to buy at least 2 more.
