Customer Reviews New Balance Made in US 990v5

I don't understand why everyone says, that the size is good and fit's true to size.. In my opinion size runs small.. My usual size is 40 (sometimes - size 39 at Zara and Mango shoes..), so I ordered size 40, width - standart, and it's really too small for my feet.. also, too tight. So I returned my order and now ordered size 41 and width - wide Hope it will be great! It's really the first time for me, to buy 41 size shoes.. very strange.

These would be 5 Star shoes except they run too narrow and the toe box is too tight. It put pressure on my big toe and caused redness, swelling and an ingrown toenail. Shoes need to be wider and deeper in the toebox area.

I initially loved how these shoes looked found them extremely comfortable but after 2-3 wears I noticed the side of my shoe ripping/peeling. Disappointed of this quality.

I order size 8 1/2 wish is my size but is a little too big I think half size down will be perfect

These have better support and are much better looking than the new 990v6. That shoe is not only ugly, but it does not have the depth or the solid support of the 990v5. They softened the sole of the v6, making it less supportive and causing it to flatten out more quickly. I was afraid New Balance would discontinue the v5 once the v6 was launched. Thankfully they have not. And I think they would be smart keep making the v5. A lot of v4 and v5 customers have been very disappointed with the v6. I don't think v6 sales will ever compete with v4 and v5 sales, and for good reason. With the 990v6 New Balance has really compromised on the quality, support, and good looking style that customers have been used to.

My doctor recommended New Balance running shoes to solve my feet problems. 900 series. I did and my feet have greatly improved.

Have worn this shoe for many years; it fits my foot perfect and suits my pronation. Will continue buying New Balance for the fit.

I wear the 990 in navy in the winter and grey in the summer I love the fit ( I have a narrow foot) and the walking comfort they provide. I have worn this style for many years. Recommended by my podiatrist.
