Yes, they are costly - and yes, there's a reason. They're supportive, stable, convenient, many options to narrow & wide, I love the style. I think it's the best sports shoe I ever owned.

I only buy New Balance....my foot surgeon told me that was "the brand" to buy. I've bought them for 5 years now and will never go back! The best ever!

I have worn these shoes after replacing both of my knees and recently after having surgery from a ruptured Achilles tendon. I love the support they provide.

This is my second pair of 990s, I bought it for work as I am on my feet all day. My first pair still looks great but I couldn't resist investing in a second one. My feet feel fine after working long hours thanks to these well made shoes.

Very happy with this shoe. This is my second pair of this style and they are so comfortable and high quality. I have osteoporosis and spine issues and walk every day. This shoe has great support and holds up well. I love that they're made in the USA.

This shoe is very comfortable and holds up to months of daily walks and fitness sessions at the gym. I love the neutral gray color which makes it a good option for casual wear when I am not working out.

I love everything about these shoes!! Traditional style and comfort meet the support that my feet and my legs and my back crave!! If I changed anything about this shoe I would make the toe box 1/8 - 1/4 of an inch wider. But even with that it's not a dealbreaker! I will buy another pair and my husband wants a pair! Well worth every nickel.

I was interested in New Balance to support the work they are doing at their factories to make PPE. I looked up sneakers that aide with plantar fasciitis and the MADE shoe was mentioned in articles. I've run in them for 3 weeks and they are fantastic.

I always have 2 pairs on hand. One pair for doing my daily walk of a couple of miles. The second pair I keep for wearing in the house because they give provide the support to let me be on my feet working for hours without putting a strain on my back and legs.

Found these at a running shop about 5 years ago - they were suggested by the salesperson based on my need for arch support. I now cannot live without these and because I put so many miles on mine (walking), I have to get new shoes every 6 months. If I wait any longer, my whole body aches but once I get new ones, I feel like a 20-year old. What a difference this shoe has made - no more foot pain, hip pan and leg pain. I would have never imagined a shoe having this kind of impact on my life!

I really like these shoes especially since I could get them in navy without the bright orange trim.

I have plantar fasciitis, and needed better shoes. I bought my first pair of this same shoe in grey at my local New Balance store. They fitted me with orthotic inserts. This is the best performing shoe I have ever had! Great support and stability. When I saw the shoe online in my college colors, I had to have another pair. I'm sure these will not be my last. They are my go-to shoes every day. The craftsmanship is definitely worth the higher price, and I love that they are 70% US made. I have nothing negative to say about both purchasing experiences.

I use my NB for everyday wearing as usual! I can wear it for all my activity

I walk daily outside. I have had many foot surgeries in the past. My New Balance shoes give the the correct support I need.
