Bought these for Christmas for my son-in-law.....New Balance is the only brand he wears. I've worn New Balance myself for years...as I'm a walker ( 30 plus years). Great shoes.

I work in a group home taking care of adults with disabilities. I'm on my feet most of the time and I never had the right shoes. The nikes I used to wear fell apart after only 4 months. New balance actually suggested the 900v5 and I couldn't be happier. The laces stay tied, the shoe has a wonderful snug fit and my feet don't hurt while wearing them. I know that these are a bit pricey but to me it's worth every penny. I bought a 1/2 a size up. Thank you New Balance

I could use these sneakers all day. I work in a hospital and I have flat feet and a bad back. These sneakers were recommended to me by my foot doctor. To me is an expensive sneaker but it was definitely worth it. If new balance has a sale then i will buy another one for sure. Thank you new balance.

I walk three miles/day. These shoes are SO comfortable! I wear an 11.5- 4E with a low arch. I have had a lifetime of trouble finding shoes that fit and provide support. I'm happy to say I've found them in the NB 990V5. Gamechangers!

Wear them to work, wear another pair for walking, they are so comfortable for anything I do.

I'm on my fourth pair of these, and I love them. It took me a long time to find shoes that fit well, help with my foot pain, and are firm enough to support my weight while still being relatively light. I highly recommend these shoes for the big and tall. They're great if you spend a lot of time on your feet.

Health, recovery. I wear orthotics. These sneakers aren't only attractive, they are very comfortable, even without my orthotics. *People comment about the all-black look and that they can wear them at work, casual dress or in exercising. Definitely a 5-Star shoe for walking. I too, enjoy the extra comfort space in the toe area. (Make sure your nails are clipped and you wear socks, otherwise you might wear down the upper mesh) . Made in USA. New Balance always treats me well and fairly. Good value and investment for my feet, and entire body.

In my early years (I'm 70 now) I was a runner. Running approximately 60 miles per week. Now I walk approximately 20 miles per week. I've tried many brands of shoe over the years. New Balance has always been a favorite and now that I am older, the only shoe (990's) that allow me to continue to exercise regularly without foot, knee or back issues. I even keep the worn out pair to wear while doing yard work. I'll keep buying these as long as I am able to continue exercise.

Took a wide size not regular to allow for the rigidity of the sneaker/shoe. Now it's awesome. Fits perfectly and moves with me. Great support and style as well!

This is my 3rd pair of New Balance shoes. I wear an 11.5 narrow shoe. Not the easiest width to find. These fit perfectly.

Seriously the BEST shoes I have ever worn , so worth the money . I love my new 990's I never want to take them off they are so comfortable I get compliments on them everywhere I go I will definitely be purchasing another pair for running in the future I couldn't be happier
