I've been having ankle problems lately and this is the brand shoes my doctor recommended. He said to go in and have my foot measured in store. All kidding aside. I left there in a less expensive set of shoes than what they suggested and was very comfortable. And I bought the pair they suggested and tried them on two days later. Those are like walking in the shoes I've been meant to wear my entire life. I'll only buy new balance from now on.

NB 990V5 are always so comfortable yet supportive. They continue to be my favorite.

I walk 5 miles daily. I love the NB 990V5 because it has a very high toe box that I need due to some bad hammer toes.

As a Federal maximum security Prison corrections officer, I spend a lot of time on my 12 hour shifts on my feet, much in very demanding situations. The inmates are mostly adjudicated criminally insane and can be very, very violent. These NB help me keep my balance when fighting with them in the cell block. They helped me out run a mob bent on killing any and all of us prison guards. Some of my fellow shift mates who were wearing army type leather low quarters could not get traction in all of the spilled blood and were caught by the rioters and beaten and shanked. Two of the ten guards were murdered and were cut wide open with their entrails spilled on the concrete floor. These shoes were soaked in their gore but after some spirited cleaning looked good enough to wear again and don't smell too bad. Thanks New Balance for saving my life!

These are super comfortable with good arch support and feels like walking on clouds.

I always have a break-in period with new shoes, but these 990s fit like gloves from the first moment I slipped'em on! Did I say gloves? More like pillows or clouds -- they're just so light and comfy. Great for long walks or any activity where you're wearing your sneaks for a long time. Highly recommended!

First time buying a pair of the 990v5 and I must say these are the most comfortable, lightweight shoes that I have ever had. I am a bigger man so I had to get something that was sturdy and wide. It feels like I don't even have shoes on. I will definitely be getting all of my shoes from NB from now on.

I was a runner for many years had purchased the 990 for many years. Then for the past several year I had switched to a competitive model because of the price. I think you would sell more of these 990s if you lowered the price. Cheers and Happy trails!

True to size. Very comfortable. Processing could of been better. Otherwise i'm a happy camper.

I wear these sneakers with everything, even wearing something simple these sneakers make it pop. They fit so comfortably and are easy to get on.
