I have been buying the 990 in size 14AA but they are no longer available in narrow. The fit on the 14D is sloppy

I had a pair of this model years ago. There is more mesh in the latest design and they just don't seem as well made.time will tell.

I can walk now without pain. I've tried lots of brands

I have an extra wide foot and the New Balance 6E width works well for me. Unfortunately, New Balance doesn't offer as many 6E widths these days versus previously (wish they would). The fit was great, shoe was comfortable immediately out of the box. After putting them on, I never looked back.

It comes in size 6e. Due to some problems I have with my feet this is a must for me and is the main reason I bought them. However, I'm pleased to say they are also actually a very nice running shoe. I'm lucky NB makes them in a 6e width.

I use the New Balance 990v5 as a walking shoe about four to five miles per day. It is very comfortable, does not irritate my feet and lasts about six months (950 miles) before I replace them.

10.5 b width with very narrow heel and high arch...i don't run anymore but still do 3 hours 3 days a week at the gym and these shoes are the best...i power walk in them, jog a little, spend 60-90 minutes on the basketball court and never any discomfort...a pair lasts me up to two years as i don't run on the sidewalk, street or outdoor track anymore...strictly indoors...when it's time for a new pair the ones i'm using become my "good shoes" then the pair i was using for good become "seconds" and then there is a pair with the shoe strings loosened up for slipping on when i have to do something in the garage and so on...yes they eventually get tossed out but i get every last bit of use out of them, and there is plenty in each pair...i have a pair of new balance 1400 gr hiking boots that i wore all winter for many winters and my feet stay dry and warm...can't say how many years i've had them but they will be replaced with the same if they ever wear out...no signs that they will ever wear out...

I walked probably 1000 miles in my old ones and never had any foot pain. These are my brand for the foreseeable future.

I'm happy that the shoes fit as advertised and is easy to get on and off.

Asked our son what he wanted for his birthday and he said new NB shoes. I was finally able to get them in navy and he's happy. As the ad said, "Worn by models in London and Dads in Ohio. (Or something like that!)

Shoes came on time and they were what I ordered. The only weird thing is the shoe itself said one model and the box had a different model lettering. I called the 800 number but the shoe itself was correct. Wish you guys would make the bigger sizes in more than greycan not get blue or black in my size

For me this is a casual everyday type shoe, great quality and great comfort. They feel as if they will last forever. I am usually a size 10,5 4E but with these had to go down a half size to 10 4E for perfect fit. Love these shoes.

I am pleased to say that my new 990v5's are of the same or better quality as all the previous ones I have purchased over the past 20 years!

This is my 3rd pair and over the years I have come to appreciate the reliability of fit and comfort as well as durability. Only a few shoes come in the extra width I need, so I rely on this model.

These are the best New Balance I have owned. Great comfort and support. I have very troublesome feet and rely on these shoes.

These shoes are pricey, especially to a cheapskate like me, but this is my fourth pair. I use them for walking on asphalt three miles per day and they give good support and comfort. They are true to size and I will always own a pair.

This is a great sneaker. Very comfortable and stylish. AND MADE IN THE USA WITH US EMPLOYEES!! BUY AMERICAN!!!

This is my favorite style of New Balance but I expect higher quality at this price. After wearing my shoes a few times the soles are peeling near the heel and the material has cracked all around the grey portion at the bottom. Disappointed in the appearance and this issue did not happen on older versions of the same style shoe.

They make my wife happy that I am wearing un scuffed shoes when we go out to dinner. There just as comfortable as the scuffed made in the USA shoes I would have worn. But whatever my wife wants she will nag me until she gets it's her way.

It did not seem to be a true size of 13 D Narrow tread size

The tongue length on the right shoe is approximately 1/2 inch shorter than the left shoe.
