Wear most days as a casual sneaker. Comfortable right out of the box..

Have used the various versions of the 990 for years - it never disappoints. Comfortable for my power walks; great fit as well. Excellent NB product.

Love the quality of these puppies. I think they'll age nicely into something that looks better a little worn.

I have severe pronation, otherwise known as flat feet. These are the only shoes I can wear with my custom orthotics.

Used as an every day shoe. Most comfortable while driving auto.

My only issue was that I should have ordered the narrow width, for my narrow foot. But a basic odor eater insole under the factory insole fixed it perfectly. No comparison in terms of quality for similar price point shoes in other brands. Classic show you can't go wrong with, and supporting American jobs.

New balance is the only company that makes a athletic shoe in ew width. The 990v5 is an excellent tennis shoe , great support, good arch support and most importantly it's wide for Fred Flintstone feet. Please don't change NB there's a lot of fat feet out there that need your support :)

Lve These sneakers. They are the only sneakers I can wear that give great support and I can walk for miles in and don't hurt my feet. Great job New Balance!

I used to feel sore and achy especially after workouts, but since I have worn these shoes thats gotten much better.

I've been wearing the 990's for over 20 years and the version 5 is the best. They have a lot of structure and several widths to choose from.
