I walk 5 to 6 miles every day with these shoes. I like that they are made in the USA. My podiatrist recommends them. I would like to buy a pair in black but can't find my size 14 extra wide.

price is expensive. But the shoes are comfortable and always satisfied

The quality of the 990v5 remains unaltered, the reputation of the company that offered members of the discontinued loyalty program a coupon settlement only to renege by stipulating that it may be used only as the company dictates is trash.

I purchase this same shoe 4-5 times a year I use it so much. Since retiring I do a lot of walking (not so much running), however, the comfort and stability are outstanding

Will be using this shoe for treadmill, tennis and hiking. Been a New Balance customer for the past 4-5 years and swear by their shoes.

I started wearing 990's during my running years. Now I've had to give that up, they're my everyday shoes.

Wonderful shoe, comfortable and long wearing. I confess I replace your insole with an "AETREX L2200". Too bad you stopped selling them.....they are a major improvement over your standard insole! Additionally, your color selection needs a re-boot. The current selection is quite BLAND. I have SIX pairs of 990's in various colors, but it appears you are really cutting back on the 990 line. They are my favorite shoes of all time.

I started running very recently and purchased these because the shoes I was running with were causing a lot of pain and discomfort. I knew New Balance offered USA made shoes and was leaning towards that given current events. My initial impressions when opening the box were very positive. They seem very well built with quality materials. On tightening the laces, I noticed the strings hold very well without slipping. The American Flag on the tongue looks nice and is very prominent, which is a nice touch! Most importantly they felt very comfortable right off the bat. They are tapered in such a way that promotes easy forward movement, and are well padded on the heel to absorb impact. I just took them for a 3 mile run and the difference from my old shoes is night and day. I'm not an experienced runner but I feel much less fatigue and strain. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone looking for a comfortable running shoe. Overall I'm very satisfied

New Balance is the only firm that offers narrow AA widths in running shoes. I have worn New Balance for years because they fit my narrow feet. Recently I did an internet study and found New Balance still manufactures my size 11 AA , the only shoe company to do so. Please continue to serve those of us with narrow feet and include it in your walking shoes as well. Please continue to provide these widths.

I have used 990 since v3. Because of my unique foot size, XW option is a great happiness to me. Thanks so much for this great shoes.

I have an extra wide foot and the New Balance 6E width works well for me. Unfortunately, New Balance doesn't offer as many 6E widths these days versus previously (wish they would). The fit was great, shoe was comfortable immediately out of the box. After putting them on, I never looked back.

It comes in size 6e. Due to some problems I have with my feet this is a must for me and is the main reason I bought them. However, I'm pleased to say they are also actually a very nice running shoe. I'm lucky NB makes them in a 6e width.

I use the New Balance 990v5 as a walking shoe about four to five miles per day. It is very comfortable, does not irritate my feet and lasts about six months (950 miles) before I replace them.

10.5 b width with very narrow heel and high arch...i don't run anymore but still do 3 hours 3 days a week at the gym and these shoes are the best...i power walk in them, jog a little, spend 60-90 minutes on the basketball court and never any discomfort...a pair lasts me up to two years as i don't run on the sidewalk, street or outdoor track anymore...strictly indoors...when it's time for a new pair the ones i'm using become my "good shoes" then the pair i was using for good become "seconds" and then there is a pair with the shoe strings loosened up for slipping on when i have to do something in the garage and so on...yes they eventually get tossed out but i get every last bit of use out of them, and there is plenty in each pair...i have a pair of new balance 1400 gr hiking boots that i wore all winter for many winters and my feet stay dry and warm...can't say how many years i've had them but they will be replaced with the same if they ever wear out...no signs that they will ever wear out...

I walked probably 1000 miles in my old ones and never had any foot pain. These are my brand for the foreseeable future.

I'm happy that the shoes fit as advertised and is easy to get on and off.

Asked our son what he wanted for his birthday and he said new NB shoes. I was finally able to get them in navy and he's happy. As the ad said, "Worn by models in London and Dads in Ohio. (Or something like that!)

Shoes came on time and they were what I ordered. The only weird thing is the shoe itself said one model and the box had a different model lettering. I called the 800 number but the shoe itself was correct. Wish you guys would make the bigger sizes in more than greycan not get blue or black in my size

For me this is a casual everyday type shoe, great quality and great comfort. They feel as if they will last forever. I am usually a size 10,5 4E but with these had to go down a half size to 10 4E for perfect fit. Love these shoes.
