These shoes provide maximum comfort and excellent support

Will never buy these again, the shoes are comfortable but that suede gets dirty real easily.

Need extra wide to accommodate orthotics. Fits the bill and is very comfortable.

I wear orthotics . I have a wide foot. I have a high instep. I do alot of walking. I am hard on my shoes. These shoes provide great comfort and support, and last at least 8 -12 months.

I have owned several pairs of these and similar high end Made in USA over the last twenty years. They really hold up.

Bought these for my 17 yrs old for school. She loves them and says that they are extremely comfortable. She has sort of a big foot but these look small on her feet.

Walking is so much better with these, no pain. Such a blessing.

I love New Balance and my 990s - but I'm disappointed by this latest delivery. The right shoe tongue keeps slipping away to the right.

I use this product for work. I walk a lot and climb out of the truck, as well climb up and down stairs. The sneakers are comfortable, I got the 2E (wide) in an 11.5. I recommend downsizing to an 11, maybe even a 10.5. The sneakers also have good grip on the bottom. There's a couple of things I don't like. Number one, the laces are ridiculously long and you have to tie them tight to stay on. Number two, the sizing and the toe space. I know I'm an 11.5, because all my other sneakers from different brands are 11.5. These felt like a 12 or even 12.5. Still comfortable, just wish I didn't have that much room to move up and down in the sneakers.

Bought a pair from a New Balance store. On the third day of wearing them the right shoe developed a loud squeak every time I took a step. Brought them back to the store and they could easily hear the squeak. They exchanged them for a new pair. I got back to my car was looking them over more and noticed one of the side pieces wasn't stitched all the way. The stitching was there but it was like they missed stitching the piece together with the shoe and stitched directly onto the shoe. Brought the shoes back into the store again. They didn't have any more of my size and said they could order some. I ended up just having them refund my money. Was very disappointed because I really liked the shoe, they look nice and are very comfortable, but for being such an expensive shoe there shouldn't have been problems with two pairs. I've worn New Balance most of my life but I am very hesitant about getting the 990's again. Will probably get a different model.

I use these shoes primarily on a treadmill because back problems make it difficult to run outside. I like the tread because it does not pick up dirt, and that they are made in USA. The main improvement I would like to see is metal eyelets so they were easier to lace up and loosen.

I have bought these shoes multiple times and still have most of the old ones. They are comfortable and last a long time.

These are the most comfortable walking shoes I have ever worn. I would highly recommend them.

I've had several pairs of 990's over the years. Great fit and support.

I wear these at my part-time job delivering auto parts. I walk 2.5-3.0 miles per day. My feet have been hurting so, I upgraded from my New Balance trainers to these shoes. The difference in support is tremendous. My feet no longer hurt. Thanks NB.

I get a pair of v5 every 1.5 years. Just got my 3rd pair in blue. This pair feels a bit wider, not a welcome surprise.

Very comfortable fit and good looking shoe. Blends with all colors. This is my second pair.

I have Reeaaly wide feet. New Balance is the only company with double and triple wide sizes. These shoes look, fit and feel great.
