Customer Reviews New Balance Made in US 990v5

I have been a long time fan of the 990's but the version 5 just did fit right for me. I truly believe it's one of the best running/walking/leisure shoes out there and the ones in the past that I have, I would give five stars.

Like the style, fit was true... Didnt feel like they were nearly as comfortable as the price would indicate. I Logged miles to make sure of comfort as well. Talked to cs to get refunded..

Always get 2E wide Shoes are nice just seem wider then average

This is a quality sneaker, but I need more arch support.

Ok shoes,it's not the best and comfortable shoes. And it's not soft nor running shoes.

I needed an all-around athletic shoe for aerobic workouts, occasional tennis, and casual wear. The 990v5 does all well. They were incredibly comfortable straight out of the box -- no break in. Solid cushioned support with no tendency to roll.

Use & brought them for work Wasn't completely satisfied with product believed they were all black smoke but they have grey in them

I just underwent achillies tendon surgery and have a cast on that I am supposed to wear for 8 weeks, ant then a boot goes on for another few weeks, so I really don't know how these new shoes fit. They look great but, that's all I can say.

I traded it for the NB 1540v3, which is so good that I bought a second pair. The 1540 is great for my plantar fasciitis--has the right amount of arch support for me.

Hi, I love New Balance shoes and I've always pushed them to the extreme. Thats why I love them because I could wear them all day through anything and they will always last because they are beautifully and specially made. But this product fell short. The suede is beautiful, the comfort is everything, but the quality has began to deter especially the fitting. For example, the glue that holds down the suede to the sole has stretched and now you can visibly see the glue and where the suede was connecting to the sole. Another issue is the stitching has loosened near the toe box and I will have to shave it down so that it won't get longer. I've had these for about a week and so I am disappointed that they are wearing out this fast.

The shoe is great but not lasting... this is the second pair in last ten months.

I've always worn "wide" in other brands, but I should have ordered "4W" (extra wide?) with New Balance.

I'm giving 3 stars because I lost 1000 NB points when I placed my order and no one from customer service can tell me why! The point system is a joke ...and no, they weren't expired. Now to the sneakers, I absolutely love the 990v5! Stylish and Comfortable. My entire household has a pair ...gray is your favorite color.

Bit too wide. Can't just slip it in. Have to untie it every time

What bothers me is having to continually pull up on th tongue of the shoe or else it presses in on the top of my foot. It can be very uncomfortable.

The 990's are not a bad shoe but it isn't New Balance best. New Balance has never been known to have great inter soles but these are worst than normal. Once you take them out and replace them with others the shoes become as great as their 928's.

nice shoe, appeared to be well made...and made here. Sadly, it just didn't fit me well....

This is my 2nd pair of 990s. First pair lasted over a year and I was very pleased. I've even turned my 2 co workers on to them and they have purchased a pair. This 2nd pair I purchased the heel counter on the right shoe I feel wasnt made right because after 2 weeks its sharp on the inside and makes a noise everytime I step. This is unfortunate for the cost if these shoes.

Always wanted a pair of 990v5 was hesitant because of the price point. Finally got a pair and they are just ok, not as super comfortable as I was expecting. True to size.

Shoe is ok but cost is ridiculous. I need good cushion but getting priced out.
