This is a great shoe. Used mostly for everyday walking. I have neuropathy and these are more comfortable to wear than the 577s. Podiatrist recommended 900 series and up, so I purchased these 990v5.

I have had painful neuroma's so I get the extra wide shoe.

A well made shoe in a narrow last which is hard to find, yes? I live in these soles. May well be the president of all my shoes. How many can I fit in my trunk?

this is my second pair of NB 990 sneakers. I ordered half size smaller, but with 4X width, man, it fits perfectly. love the NB 990 series.

I have worn the 990 since 1985. I wore the shoe during long distance running and marathons in the 80's and 90's. I wear it now for casual wear and hiking on concrete and asphalt. It's the best.

I have wide, tall feet with high arches. Basically everything that could cause a shoe not to fit. This makes it extraordinarily hard to find comfortable shoes.
These shoes are super comfortable and the wides are actually wide enough. Not only that but they are super stylish (rocking the dad shoes) and well made. Highly recommend. I got several pairs of different sizes and colors to try and the ordering and return process was very painless. Only bummer was that I couldn't keep them all.

These are great sneakers. I use them every day at work, I'm a mechanic and I'm on my feet all day. They wear great, I usually get a year out of a pair. Their also made is USA which is one of the main reasons I buy them. You cannot go wrong.

I am a fan of NB 990’s and have been for many years. I like them for their appearance, their durability, and their comfort. I recently purchased a pair of 990v5’s from Zappos in the iconic grey/ castle rock model which has been around for many years. The shoes were well made, fit to size, and were attractive. They are great shoes for anyone looking for comfort and a great fit in an affordable lifestyle shoe. If you haven’t already, give them a try. They come in a wide variety of sizes and widths so finding the right fit is possible regardless of the size and shape of your feet. Yes, there are many more modern looking and high tech models available from NB and many other companies but you will be hard pressed to find a better all around shoe for everyday wear than the 990. They have been around since 1982 and the 990v1 model for good reason.

This brand makes the best fitting shoes as well as the most durable. You may pay more but receive great quality. Just would like to get the blue color in my size. This seems the be the biggest problem
