Customer Reviews New Balance Made in US 990v5

After trying to give the new Version 5 every benefit of the doubt, I have concluded that the changes made to the Version 4 shoe are an outright disaster. With Version 4, I could switch to either my work or dress shoes with no problem, however with the newer Version 5 that is not possible. I would recommend that New Balance keep senior citizens in mind before making changes to their line of shoes. Those of us seniors who have lower back problems rejoice when we are able to find a shoe combination that allows us to maintain an active life style. I would strongly recommend that New Balance re-evaluate the changes made to the 990.

I have bad knees and find that I can only run on a treadmill (vs. outside). The only shoe I can wear that helps with the impact and a longer run is the NB990. I've been wearing them for at least 10+ years.

These shoes are extremely comfortable! I normally wear a women's size 8, but they didn't sell this particular color in the women's shoe. So, I purchased a men's size 7, and it fits perfectly!

I run and walk 2500 miles a year this shoe is comfortable good support and is the best shoe I have purchased from new balance. I have used new balance for the last 35 years. For me the shoe is worth the price

I have been buy 990 v4 for years now. Three pairs a year. 8.5 4e. The 990V5 are now two wide. The toe box is wider. I took them back and got 8.5 2E... the heal lifts and is not as nice.

I wear these shoes for all activities including work! The fit is perfect and the comfort is amazing!!

Was well made but I was hoping for an upper mesh that was breathable, it wasn't, and that's what I needed for work. I would consider it in the future for personal use.

The mesh on the top of the sneaker behind the toe area is ripping after wearing the shoe for 2 weeks. Quality of materials is very poor. Poor design.

While in college in Boston many years ago bought them because of the width sizing for running. Tried other still the best out there.

I have been running in NB 990s for 35 years, including three Ironman triathlons. I have tried other running shoes over the years and always gone back to the 990s. Now, as I get older, my feet are getting wider, and NB has the widest shoes I can find.

I purchased this product specifically because it was domestically produced. It looks great and feels very comfortable. The American flag image on the tongue is a very nice touch. Keep up the good work!

I use this to maintain my weekly walking rate for my exercise routine.

To walk , work, they are the best sneakers, you can ask for a better product and The color is perfect. Don't change anything.

New Balance has been in my family for over 23 years ago! The design and fit has improved allot. The insol needs to be offered to all customers as when u buy it new. Will continue with the product services. Importance is that it's made in United States

Used to wear these shoes as walking shoes but I find them too heavy nowadays. I have switched to another product.

Made in the US, comfortable as heck so dang good looking what more could you want. Nothing that's what. Heck and dang we're supposed to be the curse words but they wouldn't t let me swear

Quality product. A bit heavy but very supportive and a great all around walking shoe.

The shoe overall is good. The sole is a little thin but ok. There needs to be more color schemes for this shoe that are available for 6E wide.
