I wear 990s everywhere, unless I have to wear a suit. They are a comfortable as bedroom slippers, stable, and reasonably durable.

I use it to walk the dogs, provides good stability and comfort.

I use this shoe for walking. I'm 280lbs. This shoe is very supportive and holds up really well.

The build quality is good, but it's bulky and way too heavy. I like the look but won't buy again.

I use this shoe for work as a nurse. I have no feet pain at all. Very comfortable.

I owned V3 for many years and love them for the incredible cushion it provides. V5 is denser compared to the V3.

I've been buying and wearing your 990s in a 10D for many years and still love them. NB was the first running shoe company to offer widths and I believe that is a key feature. So I was surprised when placing my initial online order for these two pairs of 990s, after selecting size 10 I was then presented with 6 buttons for width, including "... Narrow, Standard, Wide and Extra-wide". I've always thought that "C" was standard width and "D" was wide so I clicked wide. When my 10 EE pairs arrived I realized my mistake, returned them, and reordered (this order). My suggestion is a simple one: why don't you include the Letter width on those buttons, as in "Standard - D" and Wide - EE" instead of only revealing the width to the buyer on the confirmation page? That's it. Thanks.

These shoes are comfortable for running, walking, gym workouts or just everyday wear.

Comfortable straight from the box, expensive but worth the dollars.

I bought these shoes primarily for outdoor running on pavement/sidewalks and for treadmills at the gym. Long time NB customer but this is the first time I've bought this series and I love them so far. They're comfortable and sturdy. They're slightly heavier than running shoes I've had in the past, but they seem to provide great support. Happy with my purchase thus far!

Best fitting shoe I have owned. Very comfortable and fits in all aspects. Owned v4 before and it was also good.

A year ago, our daily 4-5 mile walks changed from relatively flat to very steep, asphalt terrain. Our feet needed better support and longer wearing soles. These are expensive, so we expected high quality; have been pleased with how well the soles are holding up. As many report, no break in time required; lace and go.

Comfortable, nice looking and great fit. Use as casual wear and for walking.

I've always bought asics kayano for running and walking but I wanted to find a high end shoe made in the USA. My new Made in US 990v5 blow the asics away.

I walk several miles a day and so far I have had no problems. They feel great and seem well-constructed.

It is my main shoe. Wear all the time. My wife is buying me a second pair.

Great shoe for running because it fits so perfectly. This is the third New Balance 990 I've purchased, so I definitely recommend it. Being made in the USA is nice as well!

Either COVID-19 has made my feet a quarter size larger, or these are a bit snug compared to the 990 series I've bought many times.

I have a narrow foot and have always liked New Balance. When I purchased another running shoe, they may have looked good, but they didn't feel good. These New Balance running shoes look great, feel great, and are made in the good old USA--I love that too!

Dealing with chronic lumbar pain I am always looking out for high quality walking shoes. I really liked the New Balance 990v4 and Asics Gel Nimbus 20 for long walks. Ordering the 990v5 I expected a similar feel to the v4, I was mistaken. The 990v5 is by far the most comfortable pair of shoes that I have ever owned!
