Customer Reviews New Balance Made in US 990v5

Bought this pair for my brother, he generally doesn't like new balance shoes but he loves these. They fit him perfectly and he wears them all the time.

My shoe size is 13-A, and impossible to find in a comfortable sport shoe. I have been buying NB 990's for at least 20 years because I've never found a better or more comfortable fit. They are a bit pricey, but the 13-B fits "like a custom made glove". I have NB golf shoes and NB walking shoes for the same great fit with no break-in time needed. Being retired and living in FL means casual 24-7, so my 990's are first on in the morning and the last off at night with great comfort all day.

Have been and will wear this shoe forever. Great support.

I walk in these shoes everyday. Very Comfortable and my feet never hurt after walking all day. Worth the price. Runs a tad bit large compared to the 990v4

The 990v5 is outstanding. Fit is perfect . Feel is wonderful . The v5 is maintaining the excellent tradition of the 990's .

I wear my 990's for walking, for working out, and for casual wear. After two hip replacements and one knee replacement, my running days are past. I have purchased three pairs of production shoes in the white, black, and yellow accent model, in the black, grey, and white model, and in the new burgundy and navy model in the past couple of months. All three models are uniquely attractive, well made, and very comfortable. I highly recommend the v5 990's for anyone looking for a quality shoe that comes in the sizes and widths to fit almost anyone's feet. These shoes provide excellent support and are very stable. That said, they are heavier than ideal for competitive distance running though they provide excellent durability for training. This iconic NB model is alive and well.

I've seen my friend wear these shoes for many years, and never bothered to buy them. Finally though, I got them a few weeks ago and they are so comfortable. Normally, my feet ache at the end of the day, but with these, I feel amazing

Although I didn't buy it directly of this site, this show is genuinely so comfortable and great looking. I love the dad-aesethetic and it's really clean.

Super comfortable and built with quality materials. The fit is superb with plenty of support and the perfect amount of room in the toe box. I will continue to look to these in the future.

size I selected was too small.....return label was generated very quickly.....waiting to see how reimbursement proceeds....hope to simply order and receive a larger size without problems

Until New Balance came along, I had to stuff my EE feet into -- whatever. But not anymore. I'm in Comfort Town. As for the 990s, you cannot beat them. I buy a new pair every year. Sometimes I wish the design were more exciting, but I'll trade Walking On Custom-Fit Pillows for flash any day.

I have always purchased this style of New Balance shoes. Extremely comfortable to walk in. Work great for my flat feet and my sore knees.

I have narrow feet, and there are not many options available in the market. The 990v5 is comfortable. It can be dressed up as a dad shoe , or in a more fashion forward manner.

990 is almost identical to 993. They don't come any better. I have two problems: not all sizes always available; not enough plain black models. I am disabled, and mono-color shoes can work for more formal occasions.

Loved the 12 1/2 men's size and fits/runs ever so smoothly

I really like the 990v5 so far, very similar to previous versions (v3/v4) but with some notable updates. They seem to be slightly shorter by less than half an inch or so, I actually like this as they don't rub by ankles quite as much. They also are more comfortable out of the box compared to 990v4, they seem to have more cushion. From a design perspective, the tread pattern is completely new and the stitching patterns are slightly altered. Expected for a new version, I like all the changes. Would highly recommend.

These shoes were the perfect fit and what's even better, they were made in the USA. I loved the added bonus of the American flag on the shoe.

All I wear is New Balance shoes, and I've never been disappointed by them either. I always return to NB because I know I can depend on a high quality purchase.
