My second pair of 990s don't think I'll wear another shoe, I ran my last pair into the ground the new color ways look great and then new soul Is even better that the V4 its a little more boosted.

Took a while to break in. When they did, however, they were very comfortable. Coming from a pair of v4's before, I will say that these run a bit bigger in the toe-box, ever so slightly.

I have always been pleased with new balance shoes. I enjoy going o the outlet mall in Centralia , WA . But with the shelter at home order from our Governor. Ordering online and having the shoes delivered is the best way to go.

The shoe feels good on my feet but seems to be a little large but with a smaller toe box than the 840v4. I'll wear them around the house for another couple days

I love the fit of new balances as I have wide feet. these come in basically unlimited options and are extremely comfortable for walking or running. I also love the reflective details for nighttime

I buy these shoes for everyday wear and will continue to buy them as I need the extra support that they provide. They are extremely comfortable, and run true to size. The only thing I don't like is that the cost keeps going up with each new version. When they get to $200 I will probably shop elsewhere.

990 is wonderful. New 880 has disappointing narrower front which hurts my feet.

I am walking about 1 1/2 miles every day during the shut down and love the shoe. it is comfortable and has the wide toe-box that I buy NB's for. The only thing I don't like is the price, but I will pay extra for a shoe made in the USA.

I can always depend upon New Balance to have the highest quality.

These are a replacement for the previous version. Love these shoes and put lots of miles on them

few lines that carry extra wide sizes. reliable, wish there were more color selections in extra wide ( 4E, 6E )

I started running in NB 's back in the 70's now I walk in them. I've tried others but come back to NB.

Love the red color and the feel of the shoe. Have been running (and now walking) for 40 years. Cannot beat them.

I had 2 pairs of the 990 V4 New Balance. I have had and looked for a decent pair of sneakers for comfort, sports, running, and everyday use. The 990 V4 I had for years wore them out. I noticed they changed the style for the V5 in the past with other brands that i was able to find a pair of sneakers that didn't worsen my pain. Long story. I was usually disappointed when they reinvented a line of sneakers they were never as good as the preceding model. I am very happy to say that the V5 have retained the V4 quality in every way that i can see so far and I hope to have them for years to come. Very happy with the outcome of the new/upgraded 990 line.

was first introduced to these shoes back in jan 1998 ft. benning, GA for my basic training and AIT-11B/Infantry US Army and now over 20 years later i'm still with the 990's just ordered my v5's should get them in Friday. Sure they are expensive but they are worth the money and this video really underscores how these shoes are made by real people, real americans and that makes me very proud. Keep up the great work New Balance!!

These are still supreme for comfort and craftsmanship and so happy they are Made in USA. This is my first pair but it won't be my last

I have walked over 100 miles in these shoes and they feel great. I had a pair of 990 V4s and they lasted over 1 year walking 4 to 5 days a week. They are expensive but well worth the price. It's the only walking shoe I wiil buy

Bought the US990V5 to replace my old 490 New Balance that had way too many years and miles on them. I got my first pair in the early 70's while working in a sporting goods store during Grad school (yes, I'm an old codger). With many other models in in the intervening years, I've always appreciated the quality of NB, especially, the American made models. My new pair definitely has not dampened that appreciation.

I am an avid walker. I find the support these shoes give to be the best I've tried. The heel support is great. The arch support is as good as it gets.
