I HAVE A BAD CASE OF NEUROPATHY AND HAVE FOUND MY NEW BALACE 990 ARE VERY, VERY, VERY COMFORTABLE. AM NOW WAITING FOR MY SECOND PAIR TO ARRIVE.

I bought these running shoes to replace my old, no-longer-available 410v4 running shoes. They are a tad bit heavier than the 410, but they are a comfortable fit. I'm have only worn them for a few miles, and I look forward to breaking them in on my Sunday long run.

It's a very high quality shoe with comfort as the primary focus, And it does an amazing job at it. This is easily the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned, and I've owned alot lol. I heavily recommend

Use it to walk around in every day. Walk some 3-5 miles

Walk trails, 5-6 miles a day. This is a great, substantial shoe that is much more supportive than my previous buys. It is pricey but worth it. True to size.

I have worn new balance since the 1990's while in the military. Even more so now as I am retired and am recovering from a stroke. These New Balance 990's are fantastic. They provide support and strength plus assist in the balance needed while walking and working out (recovery exercises). I highly recommend these.

Great for every day use and walking the dogs. Super fit and comfort.

I have high arches along with super side feet (6E). These are the best walking and running shoes I have every owned. Super comfortable and will keep me running for the for-seeable future.

Great running, or everyday walking around the city shoe. Classic.

I have worn the 990 for at least 30 years because it is one of the rare sport shoes that come in narrow widths.. My old pair was version 3 with a short tongue and neutral foot bed. The new version 5 makes me want to move. It has excellent support with some stability. The toe box is also very slightly roomier which accommodates my prescription orthotics. The short tongue is corrected. For me, it is the best 990 to date.

I've only recently gotten into New Balance with the 574's, but adding the 990v5 was the correct step into my collection. It's not the squishy comfort you get from Ultraboosts, but instead is the balance between stability, sturdiness, and fatigue-less comfort you get from these that make them all the money's worth. I'm always on my feet at work, and find no fatigue at the end of an 8 hour shift. At the same time, they look C L E A N with scrubs. The gray 990v5's were a bit brighter than I was expecting, but I don't mind. My left shoe also came with a crease already kind of in it around the toe box, but I'm not to disappointed about it. The shoes are still a sure eye-catcher and look great all around! Easily transitions from a great work shoe to streetwear focal point.

I wear 990s everywhere, unless I have to wear a suit. They are a comfortable as bedroom slippers, stable, and reasonably durable.

I use this shoe for walking. I'm 280lbs. This shoe is very supportive and holds up really well.

Best fitting shoe I have owned. Very comfortable and fits in all aspects. Owned v4 before and it was also good.

A year ago, our daily 4-5 mile walks changed from relatively flat to very steep, asphalt terrain. Our feet needed better support and longer wearing soles. These are expensive, so we expected high quality; have been pleased with how well the soles are holding up. As many report, no break in time required; lace and go.
