This was my 4th pair of NB 990's. The fit is perfect.

So far very comfortable. Good for working out and just walking around.

Even if you wear it for a long time, you don't feel uncomfortable and cushioning is good.

First of all, I love that they are made in America. I am a heavy (240lb) old guy that have worn New Balance since back in the day when I would run. I always get a good and comfortable fit. I wear orthodics and they work out perfect after a little trim to the insole pad. I walk about 5 miles a day on roads and trails.

I love these sneakers. What made me chose them first and foremost is that they are Made in the USA. What made me love them and purchase another color is the comfort and quality.

I use a treadmill almost everyday and these shoes are great for that plus just walking around

As a instructional assistant, I'm on my feet all day and this NB 990 works great at keeping my foot in alignment with plenty of support.

I need a narrow, well constructed shoe. This new balance fills the bill. I (literally) wear nothing else. It provides excellent support and comfort. Recommended.

My doctor recommended this shoe to me for my bone spur issues, and these are really an improvement over my old shoes. They fit just right and are very comfortable.

I have an old pair of 990 version 4. The new v5 is exactly what I was expecting.

I have double extra wide feet, and I've been trying to find a proper shoe for about a year now. This shoe has everything I need. The suede is a very good quality. The construction of the shoe is perfect, no glue spots, stitching errors, everything is centered. I am now a New Balance customer for life. I wish their basketball/Kawhi lines came in wider options.

Left shoes tongue slides down into my toes and this makes the shoe very uncomfortable.

I need support and stability and this shoe really has it. I am not a runner (was a long time ago) but this shoe is great forily walking and for general use.

I am a mail carrier for the USPS. Walk 10+15 miles 6 days a week. This is my 6th pair of these shoes over the past few years. They save my feet and body from the constant pounding they take every day. Lifesavers

I use these for walking and for casual use. I like the stability and the cushioning in the heel and instep areas.

I am a huge admirer of all things 99xx. I am proud to say that I have exclusively worn 990s for years. I've owned and worn every iteration of the 990 (990,990v2,990v3,990v4). This is a really great addition to the line. I think that the design is well done. I love the tongue. The plastic strap in the heel is growing on me. I think that the manufacturing meets NB MiUSA's exceptional standards and pedigree. The fit is as comfy as ever.

I use these for walking, not running. Other than the shoes being a bit more narrow than the previous shoes, in the toebox, they fit well. The heel fits fine.

V5 is narrower in the toe box. Hill is not as comfortable, high on the outside. Does not look as good as v4 on my foot. I would not buy another would try a find a v4. This is my 5th pair of 990's
