First time getting New Balance shoes. Was intrigued by the excellent user ratings. Sure enough, an outstanding shoe. Quality built and comfortable. Use these for daily walking after being frustrated with others quickly falling apart. Felt a little snug in width when I first tried them on, but they felt perfect after the first walk.

These are nice sneakers. I usually wear either a 7.5 W or an 8.0 M . I found a pair of 8.0 M at the outlet and they fit just fine. The BEST part is that I got them for 40% off!! I'd never pay $175 for sneakers, and I'm not sure why these are so pricey, but at the sale price, I am very happy with them. Also, they are MADE IN THE USA!!!

I buy a pair of 990s for myself and for my son every 6 months. We both have chronic foot problems, and my son wears custom orthotics. These are the only shoes that work for us. Please don't ever quit making these!

I have been wearing NB 990's for 10 years. It is the most comfortable and cushioning sneaker for my wide diabetic feet. Sure they are pricey but they are worth the money to protect my feet against stress fractures working on a hard concrete warehouse floor all day.

Purchased these for my sons 25th birthday. His first pair lasted about 3 years and he wears them everyday. The shoes are a little pricey but great quality. I love that they are made in the USA! So tired of supporting other countries who hate us.

I've worn New Balance running shoes for a few decades and the New Balance 990's for several years, starting with their version 4 I believe. For me it is a great shoe. I'm glad Zappos had the Nimbus Silver as I was looking for a lighter color and it was no longer available at my normal retailer. I think NB once had a 990 in Arctic Fox, the color I enjoyed even more.

These sneakers are truly great for general walking and exercise as well as sharp enough to wear out doing things. I have enjoyed great comfort, unlike some other brands, and will most likely stay with New Balance. Made in the US version clearly a cut above the rest!

I walk about 500 miles a month, and I have very wide feet. I used to wear 4E wide Brooks shoes, but my right foot became very sore. I switched to NB 990v5 with a 6E width, and the soreness in my right foot went a away in a week.

It is my every day shoe. I have a 20 year old pair of dress shoes that I can wear for short dress-up occasions. I have a custom made pair of ballroom dance shoes I wear for an hour per week. Your 990v5's are like a custom made shoe. They fit my 4E feet.
I feel good about my purchase when it is American Made.
Delivery was faster than expected.
