I have been purchasing this model of Rockport shoes for about 6-8 years. It’s been my automatic “go to” shoe, and I don’t even consider other makes. I simply buy a replacement online when the shoes are worn out. Over this period, I have felt that the quality of the shoe has deteriorated. The deterioration has been very gradual, a few small changes with each iteration. With each small change, I have told myself that I would stop buying the shoe or at least look at another shoe maker when I purchase my next pair of shoes. This next time, I really will do a careful comparison of Rockport and other shoemakers at a brick and mortar shoe store!! My impression of the pair that I just purchased is that the shoe leather feels thinner, cheaper and less supple now. The shoe just feels more “plastic-y”, with less supportive soles. I am disappointed. Rockport once made a very high-quality shoe. Perhaps compared to the competition, Rockport shoes are still superior. (I really don’t know because I’ve been such a loyal Rockport customer than I have not tried another shoe in years). At this point, I believe that my confidence in Rockport may be undeserved, and I will definitely test out shoes from other shoemakers when I make my next purchase. In my opinion, the quality of this Rockport shoe has deteriorated substantially over time.

Great shoe - one of the few with some comfortable softness in the sole. Too bad it wasn't available in a range of colors otherwise I would have purchased more pairs.

A very solid walking shoe that is as comfortable as a good sneaker but looks more like a dress shoe. So far, I'm very happy with these shoes.

Comfortable with great style and able to use for work and pleasure.
