I bought this backpack after for light weight, durability, medium size bag and the "Y" shape zipper. This was for the intention of being mobile while saddle hunting. By far, BEST backpack I've had. The material is tough and SUPER light weight. The bag fit my Tethrd Predator XL platform (in the predator case) perfectly. I split two climbing sticks per side of the bag. I've also was able to store my Tethrd saddle in the backpack with the platform after the hunting seasons. Everything I needed for saddle hunting goes into one bag for storage. I'm amazed by this bag. Suggestions: On the lower right and left side of the bag, maybe put a strap on it so either it can secure the lower side of maybe climbing sticks, elk tube, trekking poles.

This pack sold me on Mystery Ranch as a brand. The Futura Yoke system carries weight very well. Its minimalist features make it a great option for someone who wants to cut weight not capacity. This is an ideal pack for extended day hikes. As an Outdoor Educator, it quickly replaced my EDC since I often have to carry supplies for students. It's also great for a grocery store run on my bike. The materials are tough, I've put mine through the wringer for over a year now and it only has a few small holes to show for it. Much better than the UL packs I carried in the past. Mystery Ranch, Please update this pack! I'd love to see some new color ways, a key leash in the brain, quick attachment points, & larger hip belt pockets.

I've owned the Scree for about 1.5 years now. It's an awesome pack for Search and Rescue, and my favorite pack that I own. Using it brings me joy. Some observations: -the low profile doesn't snag or catch when pushing through brush -the heavy duty material withstands a LOT of abuse and still looks good -tri-zip allows me to get rapid access to anything I need -Daisy chains allow for effective lashing -the pack stiffens as it gets fuller. The more that's in it, the more comfortable it gets -32L is enough for a basic survival kit & SAR loadout, about perfect for a low angle 24 hour pack Cons: -At 32L, there isn't a great place for bulky items, so there's a lot of packing and repacking when you have items like a helmet -The load bearing is fantastic, but at 32L... You're never gonna be able to load enough to stress the pack. It's a little overkill. -the gear loops on the Daisy chains could be a little bigger along the bottom. They're big enough for poles, but just a few more inches of fabric would add a lot of versatility (rope, pad, etc) -no good place to hook a flashlight or knife to the waist belt. Overall, the pack is one or two external gear loops away from my perfect pack. Strongly recommend.

I bought this before my trip to Montana and couldn't be happier with the performance. Even with 15lbs in it you almost forget it's on your back. Great product I will be buying Mystery Ranch from now on.

Mystery Ranch usually hooks me with products but this one is great. Used it so far as a travel bag with my Fire team and a 2 day overnight bag. Have not hiked with it yet but will. Easy access. Probably wont use as a strict hgiking pack due to limited pockest but it is a nice travel/airport bag

This product has been great for my general adventuring when it comes to hiking both on and off trail for scouting when hunting or going to see interesting views. It has enough space for everything I may need but doesn't feel to cumbersome. I also really like the interior organization pockets they are super useful to hold groupings of things I may want to get to more often.

I switched from Osprey. This pack is superior in every way. The weight is closer to my body so it feels lighter. The bag is really easy to open on top but you can also open the longer zipper to reach stuff in the bottom. Also, the zippers are sturdier and waterproof. I've beat this bag up and nothing has broken, unlike my old bag. Also, I stopped by the factory in Bozeman to pick up a rain cover (for my backpacking bag) and the folks there are just the best. Really saved me because it rained. And gave me some free stickers. Anyways, this is the best brand of bag I've found.

I've only taken this pack out for a couple trips. Both day hikes. Absolutely the most comfortable pack I've ever used. The last hike was the real test. A ten mile hike up Mt. Shavano. I took it off only at the summit for a celebratory candy bar. Hold everything and more. A little big for just a day hike maybe but that's perfect for me. I like light weekend backpacking trips and this park is ideal for that. Love this pack. I highly recommend this pack.

Purchased for our trip to California. Unfortunately waited to long so I didn't get to test prior to leaving, but it all worked out. Thus pack worked great. Our first hike was Mt. Tallac in South Lake Tahoe. Barely noticed the pack carrying 4 liters of fluid and some extra clothes. Next hike was Half Dome in Yosemite and again, super comfortable and I barely noticed after nearly a 12 hour hike. I really like the zipper design over my old Osprey Talon.

I purchased this pack in blue to carry daily PT gear. I have enough room to carry shoes, workout clothing, and shower essentials with room to spare. I like the access to open and get to all the items at once. Would not hesitate to use a a carry on, and over night bag, or a full day of hiking.

Bought this pack specifically for doing longer day hikes. It's perfect. The height adjustments work great and it fits awesome. The waste belt fits just like my larger multi day backpack but isn't too bulky yet holds the weight very comfortably. I used this bag on a 3d archery shoot and held my arrows in one of the inner side pockets and left one panel zip open and it worked perfect. If you're looking for a do it all day hiker pack this is it.

I have been using this pack for about 3 months as my hiking and rock climbing pack. It has been preforming well so far. It's comfortable when loaded with 40lbs and fits my torso perfectly! I have a 19 1/2" torso so most packs torso length is too short. I got this in the L/XL torso length and it fits me perfect. I'm in the middle of the adjustable range of this pack. I have carried this pack for probably close to 100 miles so far, most of it has been just water and day hiking gear, and I've been impressed so far. I plan to take this pack into the Tetons this summer and so I have been wearing it on my training hikes with about 45lbs of water and it's holding up well. I can fit a double trad climbing rack, personal gear and water/food and first aid kit inside the pack and the rope and helmet on the outside of the pack. I'm hoping that my hunt for the perfect pack for me is over. It's looking promising so far.

I bought this for the specific use of carting around all the stuff i needed for bringing my four young children to Disney world. I had previously used another top name pack for day trips, but would always wind up with sore shoulders. I carried extra clothing, sweatshirts, towels, first aid kit, prescriptions, 3L of Water, ponchos, kids gaming tablets, snacks, spare phone battery etc. The pack was heavy when loaded and was probably close to 30-35 lbs. I am 5'6 - 130lbs. I wore it all day for 6 days in a row fully loaded. My shoulders never got sore and the hip belt was very comfortable. I especially love the little pockets on the hip belt. I used them for band aids, first aid ointment and tweezers. The pack had room for everything and the way it opens fully was crucial. Especially when getting checked at the entrance. It was very easy to open up and show the contents without completely unloading it. I was initially a little hesitant that it only had the two zipper pockets at the top and no other outside pockets other than the water bottle pockets on the sides. This wound up being a non issue though and it worked great. I was able to fitt all the quick access stuff in the two top pockets or the two interior side pockets. The only thing it was missing was some molle webbing on the back or on the straps. I realize most people will need the daisy chain more but options would be nice. I had a radio holster on one shoulder strap and a hand sanitizer clipped to the other on thin horizontal straps near the top of the shoulder pad, (presumably for routing the water bladder hose through and not meant for clipping things onto) and it stretched considerably. I also had a small fist aid kit (molle mount) that I mounted sideways to the daisy chain on one of the shoulder straps. It worked, but was not ideal. Overall I am very pleased with the pack and compared to the pack i previously used, it is on a whole another level of comfort, organization and ease of use.

I received a Scree32 as a gift this year and have only taken it out once so far but WOW! As a taller guy (6'6") the extra inch or so over other packs means that I no longer have to put up with the "least uncomfortable" pack. This pack fits great and I can fully engage the hip belt.

I wondered if Mystery Ranch were just trendy, hyped up over priced packs as they don't look like anything special. I bought the Scree 32 mainly because I wanted an orange 30ish litre pack as I hike the rocky mountains and being visible may save my life one day. After using it to scramble up numerous cliff faces,I am amazed how the pack did not move and the weight felt like I had nothing on my back, even though the pack was loaded with about 15 lbs of gear. After using Osprey and Gregory packs for years, I think I have a new favourite brand. Looking at larger packs in the line up for multi day excursions.

I bought this back as a main travel bag for short trips for air travel and for long day hikes. All parts of the pack are very accessible due to the 3 zipper design, Side pockets for are designed to easily contain large water bottles which were perfect for our recent hikes through Canyon Country of Utah. Has enough compartments to organize stuff inside and out. Very comfortable, even with heavy load. Belt pockets are okay, but too small to hold anything of significance, would be nice if they were a bit bigger so they could hold a cell phone, wallet or other things.

Needed a good multi purpose bag and this fits the bill. Plenty of pockets and places to strap things down. I love how the bag opens so I can access everything quickly if needed. Highly recommend.
