It doesn't cusion the impact of my feet when it hits the concrete. I admit I'm over weight and need more support than what this shoe provides. I can feel the ground too much. Need something to soften the impact.

Not as comfortable as I'd like, but I ordered offline without trying it on.

I love Brooks running shoes. The Anthem 2 has some issues, which are hopefully resolved in the Anthem 3 revision. The uppers meet my feet in a way that adds pressure across the foot, even when loosely laced. This has made me very aware of the shoes, and pulls focus from pace/cadence. This has not been an issue in the 10+ pairs of Brooks shoes I have used previously. The DNA cushion soles are fantastic, and the color patterns are lovely. With the exception of the poor uppers, these shoes are very good.

They do not feel as comfortable as other BROOKS I've had. I guess since I am heavier now. Over 300 LBS.

It's a great looking shoe and a great price, but not one I would recommend. Prior to this shoe I had worn 2 different models of the Transcend, which I loved (I put nearly 800 miles on one pair). This shoe did not have as much cushion as I was used to and felt very stiff. The other issue I had is the sole is very slick. If you are running on wet pavement there will be a lot of slipping and loss of traction.

These hurt my feet for longer than usual... they seemed to take a while to really break in, but my biggest complaint is that they aren't breathable at all! I'm a nurse so I wear these for 12+ hours at a time and by the end my feet are like little swamps at the end of my legs. Yuck!

I love how it hugs my feet, however I feel that it lacks cushioning in the heels.

The shoe is looking good but it's not comfortable.

A nice shoe for daily wear.... not the best for my running (I have a history of plantar issues). Definitely completely neutral. A bit narrower than I'm used to, but relatively comfortable for basic daily use.

Uncomfortable. The pair I received had been worn as the treads had dirt etc. in them. The paper-packing was all torn up and the shoes were just thrown in the box. I’ve ordered many shoes from Zappos and have had great experience each time. I’m hoping this isn’t a new trend.

Nothing like the ghosts. Maybe for a version of uncomfortable runners foot that I don't have so it makes me uncomfortable.

Liked the look, and trusted they’d be good for running, being Brooks but they were terrible for running. I ran in them once and returned. I was used to the ghost and love the cushion those have so returned and bought another pair of ghosts. Overall, if you’re looking for a cushioned shoe for running this shoe isn’t it.

The description said "cushion" but when I wear them I feel like there is nothing between my feet and the ground. The lack of cushioning/support affects both my feet and my legs, causing soreness quickly when I simply stand or walk for a little while. I am trying to find someone who would take these shoes from me for free.

I am still trying to break the shoes in and that is proving a struggle. The fit is very snug (width). I will not be purchasing any more of the Anthem model shoes.

I run about 20-25 miles a week. And I've been pretty easy to please when it comes to running shoes. I have loved Brooks for 5Ks up to marathons. I was rocking Ghosts for a long while and needed something new. Decided on Anthems for the cushion experience and the value. Unfortunately, I found them very disappointing. I tested them on shorter runs and I could tell the heal would be an issue as runs get longer. It was rigid and felt noticeable. However, I was impressed with how light they were and the upper was very breathable and comfortable. The deciding factor was ultimately the lack of the "cushion". Overall, great value for an active shoe (saw a lot of walkers and office people like this shoe) but really stiff for a running shoe. Wouldn't recommend for the avid runner.

I have several pairs of Brooks Ghost 11, which have been terrific, but tried the Anthems to perhaps save a few bucks. The Anthem is marketed by Brooks as having cushion level 2, just like the Ghost 11. However, the cushioning of the Ghost 11 is far superior to the cheaper Anthems, and the Anthems are less stable also, giving me knee and ankle discomfort with only walking a couple miles of a day. In the future, I'll just spend the extra $30-$40 for the Ghosts.

Not enough cushion or arch support For activity/running, but fine for casual wear. . Disappointed compared to the last few Brooks I've purchased. In defense, I ordered online and didn't get to try on In store this time.

Unfortunately, one of the shoes was defective (left shoe had a wire poking the achilles area) so I had to return them. We re-ordered the same pair because of comfort, looks and price. Waiting on new pair to arrive.

Returned them after 1 run and ended up with herniated disc with no prior injuries. Maybe a coincidence but they weren't comfortable or soft landing. Can't run again for another 4-6 weeks.

I returned these shoes last week. My first unsuccessful Brooks pair. My Launch 6 shoes are great. Still, very happy customer... just had one that didn't run well for me.

I bought these for running and regular gym use....so disappointed of them. They keep slipping on slightest wet surface.......you cannot expect roads, gym rest area to always be dry......they slip so much that I cannot wear them anymore them for my road running. Highly Disappointed
