Very comfy. The collar around the ankle is very snug. Much more so than ECCO or other sneaker type shoes. Needs breaking in but after that these shoes are great.

Great shoe overall but the back of the ankle support digs into the back of my foot causing blisters only after a 1/4 walk. It will take some time, wearing these just a little at a time, until I can wear them regularly.

What out for the area at the back of the foot - it has two areas that 'hold' the achilles on either side. These areas shredded my achilles.

Like wearing two different shoes

Fit and finish of the shoe overall is nice. However, the design of the back of the shoe where your heel and back of your foot meet the shoe is flawed. It cups your back tendon and digs-in/scrapes against your heel. I walked around with them for about two minutes in my house and knew I needed to return. If I wore them for a day, no doubt they would have scraped all the skin off the back of my foot.

Great looking shoe. Comfortable to start the day, but became too tight across the forefoot. Returned to something similar from another company in a larger size.

Didn't feel too comfortable at first, but during the first day of wear they started to break in and felt pretty good. I will be returning them though because they started falling a part on day one.

I asked my husband what to say about these before he returns them and he stated "They just don't do it." I'll translate. They were very tight in the forefoot making his feet feel scrunched even though they are the right length. Back they go! He's sticking with Altra and Keen.

I want to like these, but the back right side is tearing up my heel. I read reviews and this was highlighted, I was hoping it was just a isolated instance, guess it was not. I’m bummed since I’ve worn them out a few times. I would not take the chance, appears like poor workmanship.

Love the shoes, but the leather scratches extremely easily. After wearing them for a couple hours to the office they now have 3 large scratches in them.

I don’t normally wear soft/supportive shoes, so these feel like walking on clouds. I love the feel and the look EXCEPT the very top of the rear digs into my Achilles’ tendon in a very severe way. I haven’t had a shoe that gave me blisters this badly in a long time, and it’s a shame that it had to be these.

On the rear of the ankle, there are two pieces of leather that were digging into my ankle and I could tell we’re going to be an instant blister on both ankles

The fit was to tight I had hard time walking in them.

Arrived with scuffed places on leather. Not small…large white marks. I am suspicious these had been worn and returned as the sole looked as if dirt has been cleaned out of the crevices. Sadly to say, I returned them. If purchasing, examine thoroughly. Also, if they scuffed this easily, I would be cautious buying the gray. The black may be a better choice. Did look well made.

Horrible quality. 6 month in and the seams started splitting along the sole, and on the top near the laces on one shoe. The other does not look like it was far behind. Really dissappointing.

I have several other pairs of Born shoes and they are super comfortable. These were the opposite. Felt like the seam on the top cut into the top of my foot, my toes hurt within minutes. Overall a weird fit, returned them.

The shoes lasted about 1 year under light use. Never did they get wet. I wore them casually and occasionally walked my dogs in them. I had to have the stitching fixed on the back heel and on the outside front of my foot where the leather met the sole. I tossed them in the trash when they started to fail again in different spots.

Just, terrible. After 15 min of wearing these around the house I couldn't take it anymore. The toecap area dug into my feet badly when flexing, and the back tore into my Achilles tendon with every stride. I've had $20 payless shoes that more more comfortable than these. I don't buy shoes often so I just don't know if this is what passes for quality these days but I have to say it's VERY disappointing.

These are horrible quality and became damaged upon the first wear.

This were a bit tight on me and they would come off when walking.

The stitching that holds the sole to the uppers completely failed in less than 9 months, and I don't wear these every day. Really poor quality, and not what I'm used to from Born shoes. They were great shoes, comfortable, fit well, but don't get too attached to them!
