These shoes are very stiff and I'm still hoping they'll break in but it's taking longer than usual for new shoes. They're also a little too long so the heel slips if I don't wear thick enough socks. I've put my usual cushioned insoles inside but it's still not cushioned enough. What I like is that they're water-proof, good for light hiking, and not as heavy as regular hiking shoes. I'll give them another couple of weeks to break in but may have to return them.

This is my 2nd pair of Terrex AX3 GTX. I'm an 8-1/2 in all shoes except these. They run a little large, so the 8 fits perfectly.

I like these shoes more for the practicality of being waterproof and good for light hiking. They're better looking than most hiking shoes I've had. They're a little stiff out of the box and hopthey'll soften up a bit.

The sole material is stiff at first. After two weeks, they did loosen up a bit and are very comfortable. Im a jack-of-all-trades and never really know what shoe or boot im going to need. This shoe covers many of the bases on my checklist and overall is a good purchase. The two only complaints, They tread is aggressive and reminiscent of wearing cleats at first, this did cause a few trips, but has been much better. The second complaint,its a waterproof shoe and your feet will always stink, even with brand new shoes.
