One word; comfort. Good fit if you go half a size bigger than normal. The fact that they are all black enables me to wear them for work. I'd definitely buy another pair.

Shape and tolerability are brilliant however the size was a tiny bit bigger than I expected

This my second pair of AX3 shoes. I bought again because of the comfort and support. The neutral colour of this pair means that they can be worn for sport or leisure, going just as well with a tracksuit as with jeans or chinos. The only negative is that the sole wears down more quickly than expected. Other than colour, these new ones have the same sole as my previous AX3s and a Terrex Swift R2s.

Comfortable, Lightweight and a Good fit. Colour/Styling really pops and don't look like your normal boring walking shoe.

These seem like great trainers from first impressions

Went for half a size larger than usual to accommodate thicker socks for walking which was a good move. These look good, and seem to be tough enough to take reasonably tough trails in their stride

This is a well-constructed hiking shoe, and it has the best sole I've ever walked on (eat your hearts out Merrel!!). Is it ugly? Yes, a bit, in black and dark-grey anyway. Looks a bit cheap. But this doesn't worry me in the slightest. BUT: the fit is a tad bizarre. I'm a 9, ordered a 9.5, which pinched everywhere. Exchanged for a 10, which is too big. Hmmm... Easily fixed with some foam in the toes, and I'm going to blame my feet rather than Adidas. The biggest thing for me was getting a sole I felt confident with on wet rock, scree, wet grass descents etc. These are just the best. Highly recommended, particuarly if you have a standard pair of feet!!

Would like to see more give in insole to provide more protection to foot

I've had these shoes a month and they are very comfortable. The continental grip is great. Negatives are that they make your feet very hot. Anything over 15 degrees outside and my feet become uncomfortably hot. I will have to put them away for summer and just use them as a winter shoe.

These are excellent shoes and are comfortable straight out of box. Definitely go a half size up though as I'm UK 11 and after reading other reviews went for UK 11.5 and they are spot on, even with walking socks. Grip is tremendous and they don't look clunky like a lot of walking shoes do nowadays. They would have got 5 stars but they aren't waterproof, which is ok for fine weather but not for normal UK weather.

A very versatile hiking shoe that works extremely well when hiking even in wet conditions. Works very well for streetwear as well if that's what you're looking for

Even though I am a ladies size 11, I need a durable and comfortable shoe for work. Restaurant in an aquarium, yes tough on your feet and back. First week of wearing these hiking shoes and my body isn't tired of running around all day.

They are very light but runs smaller than regular size. Needed to exchange 1 size up but there were no available. Stylish design, wish they have right size for my husband.

Good product. Solid shoe. Comfortable but sturdy. Looking forward to testing it out in the wild.
