I work in Grand Canyon and wear these gloves during on-trail hiking nearly all year to protect from harsh sun exposure. I love the gloves, but I think they run a bit small per the measurements and unfortunately I've torn the hems off both wrists from peeling them on and off. I also get them wet a lot, and they feel great, but this may have shortened their life and stressed the hems. I will buy these again, but maybe in a larger size

I avidly bass fish, and I never fish without them from May - September. The have a great grip and feel on the rod, and they protect my hands from, the sun's harsh rays, minor abrasions, and the fishes sandpaper-like teeth. In fairness to my CON-comment, I have big hands, so a lot of gloves are difficult to take off, but the grip-dots do fall off rather quickly. And, it's important to have the grip-dots because the rod handle gets slick during a day of fishing, so I carry 2 pair.

I spend much of my time guiding trips and on personal trips outside in the SW sun. I get sun bumps and of course am worried about skin cancer. These allow me to carry less sunscreen. My biggest issue is the stitching in the fingers. It makes them hard to take off and on and makes for an awkward and irritating contact point with skin on your fingers. I wish these ended similarly to buffs with just a loose fabric.

I've used and enjoyed many OR products over the years (including a sun hat that I've worn all over the world on at least a thousand miles of trails), but I've been very disappointed in these gloves, as well as similar gloves with padded palms. Every single one of them has torn along the seam at the wrist on the very first wearing. I don't think that I've done anything unusual to cause it, and I haven't had the same problem with gloves from other companies. It's a shame, because these gloves in particular are very useful to protect the backs of my hands when using trekking poles in sunny environments or at very high altitude.
