Very effective rain boot! Comfortable and doesn't rub or squeeze any part of my foot. I normally wear a 7.5-8 in most brands, but Zappos recommended a 7 for this boot and they fit perfectly. My only complaints are that they are slightly heavy due to the thick rubber sole (but I don't really mind since they add comfort and traction), and that there is a bit of a gap at the top where rain could get in (although I haven't had a problem with the inside getting wet yet).

Normally wear an 11, purchased a size 10 and they are perfect. Love the style, the slight wedge is so cute and was comfortable all day long!

Great stylish rainboot for my teen! She wears between a 6-6.5 Wide and the size 6 rainboot fits great with wiggle room! The first day she wore them, she received tons of compliments and her best friend went out and purchased a pair off Zappos too! Great rainboot!

Very cute short boots! Perfect for the city living. I was looking for a shorter alternative to my tall Hunter boots, and these were my prime choice. As rubber boots, they are heavy as expected. The size is tighter than in the tall boot. In the tall, 9 is a good size for me. In Play Short, the size 9 feels tighter. I tried the size 10, and determined it to be too large. Thus, I decided to stick with my original choice of 9.

A bit roomy, perfect for cozy socks. Very fashionable! My daughter currently doesn’t have a school locker due to construction, and these are perfect for keeping her feet dry without having to lug around giant boots all day. They are so much cuter than the other Hunter short boot style, which she tried on at a local store.

I can't believe I love these rain boots as much as I do. I have never owned a pair of rain boots before and I bought these on a whim before a trip to NYC In December. I wore them every day the week they came in b/c they are so comfy, practical, and they are actually attractive on! I have worn them w leggings and jeans and they look great with both. I have severe arthritis in my feet and I can wear these all day! I wore these on my third day in NYC and my tried feet did not hurt at all! I usually size 9 in boots but I trusted reviews and went with an 8 (which I never wear) and they fit great, even with socks.

So cute and comfortable. I wore them at Disneyland and my feel hurt no more than usual. These rain boots are also very easy to get off and on. Highly recommend!

These boots run 1 size bigger .. I am normally a 7 and the 6 fit perfectly. Super cute boots and have a bit of a lift.

Seriously comfortable. I wear 8-8.5 and purchased an 8 and they are the perfect size, with room enough in the toe to wear thick socks. The rubber is soft and the style looks great on my short legs.

This rain shoe was comfortable the moment I put it on. Nice cushion and support with plenty of room for a thicker sock but works well and doesn't slip or rub with a thinner sock. One of those shoes you put on and know immediately it's a keeper! Recommend without hesitation.

Seriously love these boots. Rain or snow, they keep me dry and look adorable with leggings or skinny jeans. My new fave boots. The pink is more of a salmon pink than cotton candy for those considering that color.

These boots are the best!! I realized after a few too many days of wet shoes at work and muddy sneakers from fall activities that I needed rain boots. Looking online I happened upon a great deal on these Hunter boots. I was worried they might not fit well, as I have large calves, but they’re it low enough it isn’t a problem at all. In fact there’s plenty of room to tuck in my pants. Plus they are actually really comfortable for general wear and outdoor walks. I actually forgot I had them on one day at work and ended up wearing them all day without even meaning to. And they look super cute and seem really well made. Can’t recommend these enough!

These boots were too narrow, they would have been perfect if they were offered in a wider size.

I absolutely love these rain boots and receive a ton of compliments every time I wear them. I have narrow feet and wear a size 8, I purchased an 8 and they fit great. I love the wedge heel on them!

I read a lot of reviews before purchasing the Hunter Original Play Short. This is my first pair of Hunter Boots. The reviews were very accurate as as the boot is a bit large, but that is not a bad thing if wearing a pair of socks. I have wide feet, but these fit great and there is plenty of room at the toe box. As of this review I have not worn them outside yet, but have worn them inside my home for a few hours to test them out. You do need to use the pull tab to get them on. They are not totally flat and do have some arch support. I am excited to have a decent pair of Rain Boots for when the next rain comes.

I read to size down if you were in between sizes and that was spot on advice. They fit perfect! These are much lighter than the tall rain boots and easy to walk in. So glad I got them!

These boots fit my true size. They are very comfortable to walk around in all day. If you are looking for warmth make sure to buy the inserts as well.

These are great rain boots! I bought several pairs to try on and these were by far my favorite. They are comfortable, cute and I can wear warm socks with them. I’m normally a 6.5-7 and the 6 is perfect.

So cute but had to exchange for 1 size smaller. I have the regular hunter tall rain boots in a size 7 and those fit great and after reading all the reviews I debated on if I needed to stay with a size 7 or order down... I ordered a 7 but they were just too big. I measured them against the tall rain boots and they appear to be the same size however they didn’t feel the same once my foot was in it. I’m the end... it might just be preference and if you’re wearing thick socks etc. but since Zappos has great returns, I’d try ordering both sizes and picking the one you feel is best.

The most comfortable rain boot I ever wore. I love the wedge -- maybe that's why it is so comfortable. Definitely size down-they run big. I sized down one size and still needed an insert or a heavy sock to take up the extra space. I think the style is adorable. I got the pink - which rocks!
