The toe and crossover straps are very comfortable. I have a bunion problem but I am able to push that inner strap behind the bunion so it does not lay across the bunion and irritate it. Also, because of the adjustable strap across the top of the sandal, my foot is held in place and there is no shifting back and forth of my foot. For me, I do hope the straps stretch a little over time so there is no pressure at all. I am also prone to plantar fascitis so I need good support for my heel and arch. No flat footbed or "slappy" flip flops for me! These sandals meet all my criteria. I do wish they would come in half sizes. I went with size 8 because the size 9 left two much space behind my heel, but the size 8 "just" fits. The tuscany color is so pretty and will go with almost anything. I am about to order the black as well. Note, this footbed is somewhat narrower than a Clarks sandal. Hope this review helps a future buyer.

I wanted to love these, and they were so close! The footbed was contoured and padded, and felt wonderful from the start. The shoe is really cute, and I know I could have worn them with anything from shorts to a sundress to jeans. But the thong part between my first and second toes rubbed uncomfortably, and I don't think multiple wearings would have broken them in. I'm really disappointed, because everything else about these sandals was great.

Out of the box the shoes fit like a glove, true to size. Not sure if it's my feet or the straps, but one felt just a little tighter than the other, which was fixed by a minor adjustment on the velcro on the straps. The shoes are cute and stylish. As for comfort, I would have liked a little more arch support but they're comfortable enough as long as I'm not walking all day in them or standing for long periods of time.

Perfect for summer wear. I have worn Merrill shoes for years. This pair is true to size for me and very comfortable. They arrived so promptly-just a day or so after ordering.
