Returning as I ordered the wrong style, and then ordered the one I truly wanted.

Fit and size were accurate. Sandal is lightweight and very comfortable. Style is feminine and pretty.

I answered that these are true to size, they are, but in length and width. I found the straps over the top of the foot to be too long. This is a regular problem for me, though, as the middle of my foot is pretty low despite having normal arches. Since they weren’t outrageously expensive, I just folded the strap down on the inside of the shoe and put a few stitches in it to tighten it up. I wish they were more adjustable, but that’s my only complaint. Other than that, they are very cute and comfortable..

This seems to run narrow.

The perfect sandal for me EXCEPT the toe post is 3 times wider than normal! The usual fabric post is just right for my sensitive feet but this one is 2 times the size and then stitched together, making it unbearable. Sorry, Merrell, moving on.

I'm a size 8 and 9, so I usually order a 9 in most shoes. These were too small even on my smaller foot. I really liked the style, but decided to get something with a back strap for more support and adjustment. I ordered the district mendi backstrap in a size 10 since the 9 didn't work in this style. However, it was far too big. I'm going to try a 9 in that style and hopefully it'll work out. I hate ordering shoes online, but merrell only has these online.

Well, I've been a fan of Merrell for years, and I bought the same size I always do. These, however, were much smaller -- not in the size of the sole, but in the adjustability of the arch strap. I bought this style specifically as a replacement for the Terran, which Zappos apparently no longer carries. I loved Terran because the adjustable Velcro strap accommodates my high instep and wide foot. On the Mendi, I pulled it out as far as it would go, and it wasn't even close. Another very uncomfortable thing was the thong. It's not round like on flipflops -- instead it's a flat strap which is anchored at right angles to your toes, so that the edges of the strap cut into your flesh. Who on earth thought that was a good idea? I returned these, and fortunately found Terran on Amazon.

Very attractive sandal, fits great, comfortable, easy to get on/off. The problem, and boy is it a Big problem is that the soles are slippery. I chatted with Merrell and all they'd say was that they are not slip resistant, and they are good on uneven ground. I returned them because I have to walk around in my house before I can get to uneven ground. The sole says Select Grip and it looks like it would be excellent for that, but NO. The soles are more slippery than my wool-bottom slippers! As slippery as socks! Really hazardous. Another pair of Merrells that I tried had excellent soles, so - go figure? I have a pair of Keens that have excellent grip and they are not rated as slip resistant! So goodbye extremely cute sandals in pretty colors. And Merrell? You can do better, I know it.
