Okay, I'm neither a trail runner, nor street jogger, but I am a dog walker! I was just looking for some comfortable everyday supportive sneakers. I've been going to the route of the Brooks running sneakers, as they are extremely comfortable and offer a good arch support. The problem is I would find I was getting holes in the upper mesh rather quickly. These Merrell's feel like they will fit the bill. I usually wear between an 8 and an 8.5, and thanks to Zappos free shipping and returns, I ordered both. To my surprise the 8 had plenty of room. As expected the uppers are a little stiffer than a normal running sneaker, but they have been pretty comfortable right out of the box. Great arch support, I like the color and very comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Fit was great in my regular size. Very comfortable, nice arch and cushion. These could be one of the most comfortable shoes I’ve tried from merrell. Only problem for me is they seem more like a running shoe than a hiking shoe so not enough fore foot support. Also, the loops that hold the laces are elastic which is odd and didn’t seem to suit my foot. Not a fan of the fabric and laces but very comfortable! I needed a hiker and these seem more like a runner so I’ll keep searching. Thanks Zappos.

I loved the previous version of these shoes. This new version runs a bit longer and uses new fabric. The new fabric has holes around the ankles with 4 wears I am sending them back. These shoes are not even broken in and are falling apart so disappointed.

Okay, I am not a trail Runner and I'm certainly not a jogger, but I do love to have something super comfortable for everyday use, especially to walk my dog. This shoe seems to fit the bill perfectly. I've always liked the style of a running sneaker as they always have excellent arch support. I've been wearing Brooks brand, but I find that I get holes in the mesh long before the sole is worn. So I went searching for something with a little more structure. While this shoe isn't as soft as a running shoe, it was comfortable for day one and provide the support that I've been looking for. I think they will also make a great hiking shoe, as my pup and I also like to take it off-road. For you Trail Runners out there, I believe this would be a great option. I've had them about a week so I cannot speak to the durability. With comfort, support, and an all-around nice looking design, I would highly recommend the shoe.

This is a fairly minimalist shoe so it doesn't have a lot of structure. There isn't enough vertical room in the toe box for my big toes and the heel is too wide for my narrow feet.

Great sneakers for running/light hiking in the trails around my house. I am usually a 9 1/2 and sneakers/hiking shoes, but I needed to go down to a 9 in these. I would definitely recommend these.

I run about 20 miles a week on technical trails. I have strange feet (pronation of feet, one arch is low, the other high), so it's really hard to find trail runners that work for me. When I first put these on, I was a little worried because they felt like another shoe I tried from a popular brand that was so unstable I ended up spraining my ankle. But these were great! Very stable for a technical trail with lots of rocks, roots, and hazard. They aren't water proof but they hold up good in water and don't get slippery like some shoes. At first the top of the foot with my fallen arch was hurting, despite wearing compression arch support socks, but I just loosened the laces and have had no pain since. They are well-cushioned compared to other trail runners I've had, and aren't jarring when you change from dirt to pavement. So far I've put 125 miles on them, and will definitely buy another pair. The wear seems fine. Small rip at heel, but that's pretty normal and doesn't affect performance. I have such a hard time finding shoes that don't cause me pain that I don't even care if they only last 200 miles.

I have a neuroma and the left shoe can't be too tight or it is just not going to work. These fit great - support plus comfort! Love the color too.

I bought these for walking and also accomplanying my husband on clay shoots in rugged terrain. My feet feel so great in them, never tired, that I have worn them out and need a new pair. I am not sold on Merrell for life and own 3 other pairs of Merrell booties, sandals, etc for less demanding situations. Seriously, I am 64 and a big of a "shoe diva" but I have never experienced anything that felt as wonderful as these. They have become my "go-to"s for any casual situation and I don't leave town without them.

I love this shoe for multi-purpose wear. I wear them everywhere from the grocery store to the hiking trail. I've had surgery on both my feet and these shoes fit and support my feet really well.

Honestly I love these. I use them to power walk on easy mountains and paved paths. They give my ankle the right amount of support (I need a shoe with good support because I have trust issues with balance.) I wear them probably 5-7 times for a few hours every week. So far, they are a brilliant tennis shoe that give me no issues. Would recommend for easy hiking, power walking outside (although if inside is for you- you do you), trail running, and walking around for hours doing touristy things with the knowledge your feet are not gonna hurt. Also- go for the color you love but think is too crazy. noragrets.

I have a really hard time finding shoes because of a bad big toe joint. These shoes were comfortable right out of the box. No pressure on that joint. Just soft material. Footing and grip are excellent. Fun colors. A little tricky/tight to put on but good once on. Also could use more ventilation. But very comfortable to walk in with the dog. Make the shoelaces longer please.

I like them, they are comfortable and made very well. The color was not exactly as shown as I thought they were lighter-color than the gray, but I chose to keep them anyway.

I'm a first time wearer of the Merrell's shoes. After two weeks, I've got to say how surprised my hard to fit feet love the comfort of this shoe. I'm confident I'll purchase again. My right foot is s size 7.5 and my left is a 9. I wear the dude 9. Eventually, it'll be required that I undergo surgery. Until then? I'm overjoyed due to the relief I feel. I didn't expect that. Thank you!!

I absolutely love these shoes. I don't hike much, but I do walk a lot downtown for work, going to different buildings, and these are comfortable all day long! Great grip, stepping on oneven pavement is not a problem at all, no problems with ankles twisting from lack of support on either side. These are a keeper and I hope they never change because I will buy them again when these wear out.

I would highly recommend these sneakers. I have fallen arches and a lot of arthritis in my feet so I'm super picky on sneaker selection, these have been my answer. They are very supportive and have given me comfort I need as a health care worker whose is always on my feet! 5 stars

At first glance I didn't know if I would like the shoe laces and loops since they are made differently than my other shoes. After wearing and experiencing the supportive cushion insoles, they were keepers. I have Plantar Fascia in one foot and these are exactly what I needed. Thank you, Merrell!

This is a very comfy shoe right out of the box...sadly I had to return as it was just a smidge too short with my big toe hitting the end and getting too much pressure. I wear both 8 and 8.5 in Merrells depending on the style (8 in Mix Master 3, Tidewater, Encore Kassie Moc and Encore Q2 Ice, and 8.5 in Tremblant Ezra boot, Siren guided leather, Around Town lace canvas and Thermo Freeze Mid), and I ordered an 8 in this due to the reviews about heel slippage. The heel did slip a teeny bit but wouldn't have been bothersome with socks, and the arch on the 8 fit me perfectly, so I know the 8.5 would have been too big. Lots of shock absorbing in the heel, plus the Vibram grip made this the perfect shoe for me, if only there had been a fraction more room for my big toes. Definitely worth a look if you don't have a "tweener" foot like mine!
