Overall, a nice shoe... It seems to run a little narrow as I usually wear a medium width, but these are the tightest I have ever owned. Otherwise, it appears to be a quality shoe.

I bought my Gridways a bit over a year ago. I like the design and materials a lot. It fits a bit bigger all around than I expected, but it accommodates a footbed, so I stuck a brand I like in there in place of the sockliner that comes with the shoe. It's a sturdy outsole, don't expect pillow softness. It's enough sole to support you for an entire day walking around Paris, the office, or hanging out with kids. And the design looks suitable for all those pursuits (as long as you have a casual office environment). The only thing I would change about the shoe is to provide a more sturdy heel counter and collar to live up to the support of the midsole. A sturdier heel counter would help hold the foot over the midsole and require less of the lace guard to accomplish that. As it is, I find myself tying the shoe quite snugly in order to feel like my foot won't move around inside unreasonably. A less stretchy material for the collar (not thicker, just less forgiving) would also help accomplish the sensation of the foot being "locked in." The fit issue is overcome by my simply only wearing the shoe for extremely casual pursuits, like casual days at work or hanging out with family/friends. Although I have worn it for all-day outings mentioned above, I don't do that anymore. It just doesn't feel up to that. However, it's so good looking and perfect as a casual shoe that I can't help but like it. And when the occasion calls for it, I lace mine up.

I got size 8.5 (US) since there was no Wide option, and I do need that width, but it does mean the shoes are a little long for me. They are comfortable, however, and I like them fine. Good weight (low), good looks, good soles. For serious hiking, I have tougher Merrells; for city wear, Jungle Mocs; as I hoped, these are in-between.

Great shoes for the summer for all casual activities. Drive with without problem.

Great looking shoes. Not the most supportive, but they aren't running shoes

This is a great looking shoe and lengthwise is perfect. Unfortunately as other reviewers have highlighted, they run narrow. I have always fitted into normal width shoes but these were too tight around my foot. Even though the size 13 fits perfectly length wise I am going to try a size 14 as I still really like the shoe itself. Hats off to Merrell for its super easy return process.

These shoes .look great, fit as expected and are very. Comfortable. Yet still supportive , which is why I buy Merrells in the first place.

The fit seemed a little snug and the shioe should have some more cushion on the sole.

While these are not the most comfortable Merrell shoes I've ever owned, they are fine in that regard and are really quite stylish. I wouldn't wear them for a day of long walking but for a casual night out they look great and certainly won't be uncomfortable. One odd thing is the laces. They are extremely long. I wish they weren't.

Husband states the footbed was not comfortable for him. I think he didn't like the arch support.

I love the comfort and light weight of my Gridways, but am so disappointed that the outsole has started to separate from the shoe after only a year.

I really liked the style and color of the shoe. Unfortunately, the shoe runs narrow and they don't sell a wide. I have never had to buy a wide shoe before, so I wasn't expecting any issues. Also seems to run about a half a size large in length.

I've had two pairs of these now and wore them daily for 6+ months each. While they are well made and last, I've had two issues with these that I never had before. One, the insole becomes very uncomfortable after 4 or so months. The other issue is the shoe seems to conform to my feat differently than others. Perhaps it's due to the uppers being mostly cloth, I'm not sure. But for whatever reason the soles then wear oddly as well. I have absolutely loved my other merrells and am a huge barefoot fan. These just didn't do it for me at all.

They are good shoes but they are less comfortable then the Merrell Moabs I am used to. They breath much better though which is the reason I purchased them. The reason they are mildly uncomfortable is the foam support in the arch is not quite as good as the moab.

They were too narrow.

Not a bad pair of shoes, just basic shoes. It does its job being shoes. Its a little uncomfortable at first, but I got use to it and I like how it feels. I would recommend.

I was looking for a comfortable and breathable shoe for long days at the office and these fit the bill. The men's size 10 was true and the shoe fit my D width foot. I also like the looks. Unfortunately, within days of purchasing, the sole at the front of the right shoe began separating. I have repaired that with Shoe Goo but have now noticed that the outer edges of the soles of both shoes are also separating. I like the shoes and will repair the outer edges. However, the durability of the sole needs to be improved.

Size ran a little narrower than my other Merrell shoes. Not sure how durable it will prove to be, especially the top. Seems a little flimsy. Added Protalus insoles for better arch support and to correct pronation problem.

Bought these shoes for my husband. He is consistently size 9 in every shoe he buys. Unfortunately, these were too narrow and squeezed his feet, so we will have to return them. They look really awesome, though, so if you have narrow feet it may be a good purchase. For us, wish they ran in normal widths (or that there was a "wide" option to offset the narrowness).

The shoes look well constructed but the soles feel hard and heavy. And, the black shoes come a little darker than expected. I would avoid those and go with the Turbulence color scheme. I normally wear 12.5 in Saucony but I got these in 12 and they fit well.

Seem like well made shoes but they are definitely on the narrow end. My feet border between regular and wide shoes so it is definitely a personal fit, but these are far too narrow for me. The material otherwise seems pretty comfortable, the soles are a bit stiff and not as soft as I would have liked. Free return so can't complain about that - it's just a luck of the draw when I'm trying shoes on.

The Freewheel Mesh was my husband's favorite shoe but that was discontinued. I was hoping the the Gridway would be good substitute but unfortunately it is WAY too narrow.
