Size 10 seemed a little bigger than other Merrells that I have worn, I have a lot of wiggle in the toe box. Sole and last are a little more rigid than other shoes, perhaps to protect over mountainous terrain, at my age the shoes only see city streets. The lace assembly although a huge departure from eyelets does provide some flex and give once you are laced up. Miss the red "Bossa Novas" as they were, hands down the most comfortable walk / run Merrells I have worn out. Annex Trac a close second. Stay the course WWW!

I had to order a size and a half smaller than normal. Have not had a chance to use these shoes yet as I am still in the process of trying to exchange for a better fitting size. The rating may change if I can get a better fitting option and ability to actually try out the shoe.

This shoe is longer and much narrower than the Agility Peak 2. The material in the upper is also not as protective as the previous version. This is an unfortunate departure from what was for me the perfect trail shoe. So before you ask, "well why did you buy them then?" I should explain that I need size 15. Where I live, no one stocks size 15 and I have to go through interesting channels to get the shoes I want, which usually takes upwards of a month. Im not in the position to be trying on a bunch of different shoes to get the perfect fit. So when I find a good shoe, I stick with it. This is why I bought two pairs of the Agility Peak 2 shoes. I ran UTMB in them and they were absolutely perfect. I literally couldn't imagine a better shoe and told all my running friends how awesome they were (what shoes you wore is a very common question when people ask about UTMB). So recently I bought the version 3 with the intention of running Tor des Geants in them this year, but they are a completely different shoe. They are far too narrow to be suitable for ultra distance running. The upper is not nearly as comfortable or protective as the previous version. Im thinking now I'll have to wear one of my old version 2 pairs and hope they hold together for the duration of the race, since I've already done ~500km in them. As much as I like Merrell (I've probably owned ~50 pairs of Merrells over my lifetime), there really seems to be lack of purpose with their running shoes. If they had purpose, the designs wouldn't change so drastically and so frequently, and it would be clear what each shoe is for. What is Merrells ultra distance shoe now, if any? Please Merrell, if you have any of the old Agility Peak v2 in size 15 lying around, I'll pay almost anything for them right now!

I love this shoes, they're very comfortable and work great on trails. The problem is I've only used them 5 times since I bought them, I waited until wasting completely my previous running shoes, and the right sole has started to come off, up on inspection, the left sole has started to come loose as well which is a bummer.

I bought these about 6 months ago. They fit well, are reasonably comfortable, and I like the style. Unfortunately, about half the left sole has come loose and broken off, and the right one is beginning to do the same. While I see most reviews are positive, I have seen several that mention this exact issue. Maybe it's hit or miss, I'm not sure. But they aren't usable once that much of the sole is loose or missing.

I love Merrel shoes I had some great experiences, the shoes are reliable comfortable and I can use them for a long time with no issues, this particular shoe is a rare case of poor quality and a tragedy for the brand. After a few months is falling apart I have never seen a shoe disintegrates so quickly, very disappointed.

My husband ordered these shoes online. He has worn Merrells for years. He know vibrams soles are the only way to go. But these, he hasn't even worn them one day! The few short hours he did wear them he wasn't even outside. He wore them a few short hours and looked down to see the vibram symbol starting to peel off. Now if it were any other brand I would be disappointed but I'd probably let it slide, but excuse me vibram prides themselves as being the very best sole in the history of shoes. And these start to break after half a shift at a bank....

I just want to state that i love merrell hiking shoes but i think these running shoes are horrible. I bought this pair from my local retailer a few months ago and after a few wears the heel cup collapsed on itself. This wasn't a small issue, the stitching failed and the heel was ruined which made the shoes unusable. I contacted the customer service and they happily sent me another a few weeks later. However, after a few wears throughout the past two months (maybe 2-3 trail runs, a few hikes, and just casual wear to bike or walk around) the adhesive from the rubber was almost nonexistent on the right shoe. I was able to literally put my fingers through it because it was loose. I dont know about you but this shouldnt happen on a lightly worn shoe or even a trail shoes (which could make it dangerous even to wear). Overall, not a good shoe there must have been issues with the manufacturing process or flaws in design. Would not recommend, maybe merrell other trail shoes would be better, who knows.

this is my 3rd pair of trail runners from Merrell. Unfortunately, the sole ripped off after only 6 months .and these were supposed to be a bit heavier duty... I still have the other Merrell trail runners though.

They were perfect giving you perfect comfort protection and agility, but after the race I was very disappointed because Vibram outsole teared apart, and a brand-new shoe, after one race I can-not use them anymore. It's a pity such a perfect shoe to have that flow in design, in next design please make the outsole in one peace not to be divided in two parts.
