I have worn each model of the Agility Peak Flex shoes and these are certainly my favorite for trail running. These are comfortable with a wide toe box, and the shoe provides even more underfoot protection than its previous models, while still providing enough feel of the terrain. These have shown to be durable on technical trail running, over roots and rocks.

I have been a huge Merrill shoe fan for years. I had been hoping for a time when they marketed a shoe for all around training.
While this shoe did not meet the description perfectly, I thought it was close enough to try. Bingo! These shoes are perfect (for me anyway) in the gym, on the road, on trails, lifting, box jumping, circuit training....everything.
The toe box is larger than typical but is super comfortable and not at all troublesome. They fit perfectly with zero break-in time.
Thanks Merrill....I knew you would come through.

Like wearing no shoe at all but with protection, stability and the confidence you need - especially for recovering from PF. Also a big plus is plenty of toe box room which is essential for proper foot function.

Great trail shoe for long distance runs out on the hard pack dirt trails in Socal! Nice improvements with the gripy vibram sole. Shoe feels alot more responsive and firmer/solid than the previous model. I can run all day in this trail shoe with no issues. Almost as good as the old Merrell All Out Peak. One my all time favorite trail shoes. Again nice improvements love trail running in Merrells!

I was finally able to get some trail running in and these shoes did not disappoint. I found them to be very comfortable and light (not sure about the reviewer who said they were too heavy). I've been running on sandy and rocky trails and have been very happy with them. Also, I need something with decent support as I am recovery from plantar fasciitis and these have done the trick with no issues

I have been a fan of Merrel Trail shoe's for quite sometime. I was looking for a new version of the Agility Peak Flex. These shoe's are great, I am currently looking at purchasing another pair. Durable shoe fits great and love the feel. Take a little bit to break in, so I would break it up over the course of couple medium length walks/hikes/runs (5 mile at a time). All in all great product, Nice work.

I used this as my go to trail running show and completed a 100 miler in harsh terrain. The only issue I have is that on the 2 pairs I owned the outsole came fell of too early. Maybe it's the very technical / scrambling terrain I often run in that was too much. But the rest of the shoe are in mint condition so feels a bit odd. Still I feel that these shoes don't get the amount of attention it deserves. It's an amazing shoe and I managed to convince my buddy to a pair and he is as into the show as I been!

1st let me say I currently have 7 pair of Merrels with 1 being a duplicate, and another pair on the way. I have them for all occasions, work, back packing, winter, summer etc.
And I bought this as a replacement for a 2 year old pair of Agility Peak Flex that are a few miles away from retiring that I so dearly love and I am having a hard time parting.
Its hard to compare the two, they are so different, but i do like this shoe and if it lasts half as many miles as the old pair I will be happy.
The lacing in these models always takes some getting use to, does fit and feel great out of the box but will lake a few hikes/walks to nail down the lacing to your specific needs. The old pair was my go to shoe for long distance day hikes and backpacking in Sierras, I am still unsure if this shoe will takeover that role as the jury is still out. But its looking good, The toe box not as wide as the old model, and that's the only thing holding me back from this shoe becoming King
Traction is fantastic and overall support outstanding. More flexible than the old model and definitely lighter.
A very good looking shoe as well (the old model was ugly) I like this model a lot, and this is a solid shoe and I look forward to another pair in a few more years.(hopefully with a wider toe box)

These are very comfortable trail shoes, I use them for hiking - soles are stiff enough for moderately rocky terrain
I'd also recommend:
Salomon but generally a narrower shoe

Love this shoe. Shoe laces are interesting. Size is much larger than expected. Bought a size 9.5 and these are significantly larger than most 10s I have recently bought.

Comfortable with plenty of cushioning. Sized just right with respect to length and width. Only issue was amount of fabric covering toe area. Too much fabric and it buckles as you walk once laces are tightened creating odd look..
Soul provides great traction.
Aside from slight appearance defect, the shoe is great for walking the trails and neighborhood.

These are a half size too big. Overall an excellent quality and stylish hiker. I have the Novas as well, and the novas are more comfortable but not as cool looking.

The shoes look great but unfortunately the arch on the left shoe was a bit too high and bothered my feet. The right shoe was fine but the left shoe was not. It may be an issue with my feet but I've never really had that problem before.
The quality of the shoe itself was fantastic.

I bought these shoes, not for trail running but to give my feet the support and cushioning they need while I spend my workdays on hard concrete floors. These shoes fit a bit snugger than I would like and I would prefer a bit more width room in the toe area. But they do provide the cushioning and support that I need.

I love the look of the Agility Peak Flex 3. The build quality is top notch and they fit true to size. My only issue with them is that the insole arch is quite high. My feet aren't completely flat but I don't have a high arch and sadly I had to return them for that reason.

I'll be the first to admit that I take my shoes and give them a pretty good durability test so my review isn't likely what other people will be using these for. I got these as I was looking for something with a little more cushion for my heel as I transition a lot from concrete to trail during my runs at lunch. I also do a lot of weekend trips on trails with a lot of rock. The shoe held up good for the most part but the glue started to fail recently on the connection between the rock plate and the vibrant sole. Loved the fit of the shoe and it broke in nicely...think I have well over 500 miles on them in 5 months but the sole is coming off completely now. If you are looking just for everyday light trail shoes these will likely hold up well but if you are looking for something with long lasting durability try something else.

The soles are too thick In my opinion and they don't fit right. Feel like foot can roll left or right to easy.
I had to return them.

I love everything about the shoe. I walk about six miles a day on sidewalks.... These lasted about 4 months for me before the bottoms started to wear and the cushioning started to give up. While they lasted they were great though.

For some reason these shoes have an extremely large and sloppy feeling toe box. The same size I have purchased for years from Merrell is very loose in this style. Probably a full inch long in the toe box. I wore them 2 times I couldn't get them tight enough to keep my feet from feeling burned from sliding around inside. I'll be giving them away.

Comfort is good. Toe box is a bit larger than other shoes as noted from other reviews. Looking down at them from above they lack shape. Instead of coming in on the sides to the natural shape of the foot, it sort of just boxes out those feet angles. Sort of looks like wearing Kleenex boxes when looking down at them. Comfortable and with the material used no doubt they will be durable.
