Husband needed a waterproof/versatile jacket and this matched his older one except for the number of pockets.

I wish The North face made this jacket is XS because S fits but not quite. Its upsetting that they make other jackets in XS but not this one?!

As a slim, 6'1" guy , it can be tough to find gear that's both fashionable and functional. This certainly fit the bill. The length is perfect and it fits reasonably snugly around my torso (I purchased a medium). I wore it on a trip to NYC, but it's great in adverse weather in the outdoors as well. My only complaint is that the zipper closure is a bit finicky when taking the jacket off; otherwise this would be a 5 star purchase.

I use this jacket for work. I like how breathable it is. I also like how versatile it is. I could use it without a liner on a mild day or with a warmer piece under, it for comfort, when it gets a little more brisk.

I recommend ordering one size smaller than your regular fit as other reviewers have suggested. The double zipper is a nice feature however the zipper is very difficult to open at the base. The lower zipper is very difficult to open from bottom up when the jacket is zipped, something that I hope will loosen up after break-in.

For the price it's a great lightweight stylish jacket. I like the longer cut and the silhouette. Bought for wearing during a rainy agricultural photoshoot. Rain beads off.
There are gortex jackets with more features that i really likes in the same price range but the cut wasn't as stylist.

I use this jacket for rainy commutes into manhattan. It is stylish and functional. The hood is appropriately sized for casual wear (not a climbing helmet). The zipper does not extend to the bottom of the jacket, as in the picture. The sleeves are too long, and requires tailoring. The jacket is breathable and phenomenally windproof. With a sweater layered underneath it is perfect for a cold rainy commute.

Great however is made for layers which does not suit warmer weather, so I need to move down a size however all of them are sold out now.
Additionally the jacket is technically not the same as the picture, the real jacket's zipper does not extend all the way down, but rather stops at the second last button.

I got the parka as I had been looking for a longer lightweight waterproof jacket that would extend to my thighs. This parka is good as far as length goes, but was way too big for me in my normal size - looked like a tent on me. It was also too heavy.

I wore this in moderate rain and was completely soaked through within 15 minutes. This product is falsely advertised.
