I had another jacket from Marmot which was lighter and packed even smaller than this one. I tried to buy the lighter one but couldnt find it on the website. This looks like a good jacket and will keep me dry and comfortable

I love the design. That is why my new is like the old rain jacket. However only dark blue was available in my size at the time. I wish the colors were much more interesting.

The best light weight rain jacket recently bought my second one in a larger sizer. Its extremely durable and functional with so many great details. The hood folds up smoothly and the body of the jacket is slightly tapered. Get this jacket you wont be disappointed.

I loved this jacket until I was doing field work in the rain last weekend. It's the first time I wearing the jacket out in rain for that long. (I've had the jacket for two years) About three hours into the work (in steady rain), my shirt under the jacket began to get wet all over. Other times when I've worn it in rain for shorter periods of time, it worked perfectly.

Love the jacket but runs small

I purchased the small and it fits just fine. (I’m 5’4”, 120) It’s an effective rain jacket, but a bit noisy…has that crinkly sound . I had purchased 2 different rain jackets before a trip…and this one arrived super fast and is the one I took. The other came while I was gone, I did end up keeping both because I found I liked the other one better..(Lands End if you’re curious.) Although this Marmot jacket does have a bit more style.

Long - shoulders are narrow. Built for a tall, thin guy, no deltoids.

A very solid jacket. The collar was too tall for me, but that might be a personal preference. I felt like it was coming up over my face.

pack it simple, bring it without any effort, it is a valued buying

My second Marmot rain jacket. Fits great, looks even better. Really flattering.

The rain gear that I purchased speaks for itself but the management that claims that the "STRIVE" to keep customers happy leaves a lot to be desired.

Love the pit zips + rollaway hood, wish it was lighter

I needed a rain jacket and thought this was a good buy for the sale price. I can't attest to the water resistance yet, but thought I'd throw some pics on for gals looking for insight on what size to order (I scoured the reviews for this because the sizing can be wonky). For ref, I'm 5'3" 170 lbs, 35" waist, 41" hips, 38 DD, and I ordered an XXL. I'm wearing a cropped lightweight hoodie under the jacket and leggings in the pics.

I have not tried it in rain yet. Its for my wet running days. Fits well like all Marmot products do. I have been a Marmot buyer for years and love their selections, quality and prices.

It fits nicely. I'm not sure I would buy it again though

I like the color but noisy due to material. I have some room to layer but not a ton. I got the small. I am five feet five and 120.

great jacket. light,packable and kept me dry over a recent trip to british isles.

I bought this jacket as a backpacking and day hiking rain shell. I liked the fit and the weight. I took it on an overnight hike in the white mountains last October. It ended up raining and sleeting most of the hike and this brand new jacket let so much moisture through that the puffy I was wearing underneath ended up wet. I couldnt get dry all night and have never shivered so much in my life. Very disappointed!

The jacket itself was lovely. I loved my other Marmot size small so bought another. Sadly, the new cut is just a few inches longer in the past. It hit me at the largest part of my hips and I couldnt close it! I feel like a lot of outdoor gear is made to fit very narrow girls. Im not large enough for plus sizes. Surely Im not the only woman with hips!

Got this to replace a similar product from a different brand that I got years ago before my brand loyalty switched to Marmot. That jacket finally died and Im even more pleased with Marmots version. The size predictor put me in a S but it looked too billowy on me and I returned for the XS. Im 51, 121lb, 34b. The S would have allowed more layering underneath but the XS was definitely more flattering.

Purchased the PreCip Eco Jacket and finally had the chance to use it when a tropical storm came our way. The jacket kept me nice and dry but there was one thing that I was disappointed about. There is no inside pocket. I thought there was when I first looked, in fact I put my parking stub in what I thought was the inside pocket only to discover it had fallen on the floor about 5 minutes later. Thank goodness I saw it or I would have had to pay the full 24 hour parking cost even though I was only parked for about an hour. I realized that what I though were inside pockets were in fact, the pockets for the outer pockets. Why didn't you sew the bottom of one of the outside pocket liners to the jacket then it could double as an inside pocket. Basically this jacket only has two pockets, both on the outside where your hands would go. I think I'm like most people and prefer an inside pocket for things like phones, parking stubs, that sort of thing. I would recommend this jacket if you don't need an inside pocket.
